Almost one-third of Republican primary voters would support bombing the fictional kingdom of Agrabah, according to a report released by Public Policy Polling on Friday.

More than 530 Republican primary voters were polled this week on their support for Republican candidates and foreign policy issues including banning Muslims from entering the US, Japanese internment camps from the second world war and bombing Agrabah, the kingdom from Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin.

In its poll, Public Policy Polling asked the 532 Republicans: “Would you support or oppose bombing Agrabah?” While 57% of responders said they were not sure, 30% said they supported bombing it. Only 13% opposed it.

Public Policy Polling also polled Democratic primary voters: only 19% of them said they would support bombing Agrabah, while 36% said they would oppose it.

According to the PPP, “[Donald] Trump is at 45% with Republicans who want to bomb Aladdin and only 22% with ones who don’t want to bomb Aladdin.”

Well then it's time to see if we can bomb something that may/may not exist for long

We bombed the entire Middle East looking for Osama Bin Laden. Bombing one kingdom in order to get Jafar shouldn't be too hard, right?

I wouldn't of known that Agrabah was not a real city; don't pretend you guys would know either. Regardless 30% of this particular sample size isn't that scary, I think. If asked of any city name as place holder for this question I would of answered "no" or "not sure".

Oh, no. It's real.

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2015/12/trump-leads-grows-nationally-41-of-his-voters-want-to-bomb-country-from-aladdin-clinton-maintains-bi.html

Worse yet, these figures would mean 45% of Democrats polled weren't sure whether the US should bomb Agrabah. The good news is that there is a distinct possibility that the "support" and/or "not sure" votes were submitted by smartasses.

Actually, it'll be pretty sad if most of us here didn't know that Agrabah was a fictional place from a classic Disney movie.

By the way, does anybody here think Bikini Bottom should secede from the Union?

The not sure were probably legitimate because they don't know the city. I know I would vote yes just for the lulz.

With a name like that we cannot let it secede. Put down the rebellion and reopen the beach!

Any smart person would either know it was fake or simply say they never heard of it. Not knowing it isn't sad, saying it should be bombed while never hearing about it is.

See, that's what I'm saying. They were probably going for "not sure" because they either didn't want to risk there actually being a place called Agrabah other than the one in the film while those who went "Hell yea, bro!" were probably mostly joking. Ask a stupid question and all that.

At least I hope so.

In my city the newspaper goes to every graduating class in High School and polls a few hundred kids. Keep in mind they are required to pass a government class in order to graduate. The numbers differ from year to year, but typically 70-90% of the kids cannot answer who the current Vice President is. So when asking people about a fictional location, it's going to get a lot of people not wanting to sound ignorant and just agreeing to things.
