Yes. I haven't directly encountered spirits. Unless you're predisposed to it, or spend a good deal of time investigating, then you probably won't either. The less you want to see something, the less you will see. That goes for anything spiritual or otherwise. There are general rules for this sort of thing. Unless someone is inviting this sort of thing, then it typically won't be or last.

My ex-girlfriend and her family dealt with spiritual events extensively 20-30 years ago. I've talked with them at great length about the troubles they dealt with, even seen an artifact and some effects left over from then at their family's house. They've actually well documented their experiences and sharing their story now that it's basically over for them. I've had other friends of varying degrees of sensitivity share other kinds of stories with me, and come to learn that it isn't that surprising to have similar people in my life. It's very normal to keep meeting the same friends and acquaintances. For whatever my words are worth to you though, malevolent spirits are rare exceptions and generally can't harm you anyway. So if you (or someone very close to you) aren't looking for trouble, you won't find it.

There are people and organizations that deal with these sorts of things, but they don't exactly go broadcasting commercials on television. They know most people either don't want to know, or would think poorly of it. Just as there are many out there that would look to scam you.

I lived for a while in a house that was supposedly haunted. When my parents first bought the house my mother wanted to paint the living room, and it came down to two different colors, she just couldn't decide which one she liked better. We weren't living in the house yet, so she left the paint chips on the kitchen counter and left. The next morning, one of the paint chips was on the floor, the other one was on the counter with a empty salt shaker sitting on top of it.

Here's the really strange part, nobody had been in the house since she left, and nobody knew where the salt shaker came from since the previous owners left absolutely nothing behind. Ma painted the living room the color that the ghost suggested.

Yes, I believe they exist. I love reading books on cases of Demonic possession, and that type of stuff. I've read a lot about cases from Ed & Lorraine Warren.

Sounds like power of suggestion. Unless I'm already looking for the supernatural I wont see it? Sounds like to good of a coincidence to me.

Ghosts are like folklore creatures. No different than any fictional monster.

Me and sisters actually thought ghosts were complete BS from watching movies and hearing "true" stories about them. Ghosts don't have consistency.

You have your ghosts that are faded apparitions of dead people.

You have your big cloud ghost.

You have your completely invisible.

And you have whatever the hell else people are going to say is true.

After piecing together ghosts have no consistency, it makes no sense why they need to open doors or interact with anything if they can just go through anything. This would mean they are on two separate planes of existence at the same thing. Two different vibrations... They can touch a door handle but not you?

Then there's the biggest thing against ghost being real -- they can't stay in the same place. If ghosts are bound to a place after they die, they should all be in space indefinitely as the earth doesn't stay in the same place. Where you were born? Yeah, the earth hasn't been there in years, they do not have rules so they wouldn't move when the earth does as ghosts aren't affected by gravity.

Even if we ignore the gravity and field of affect argument, there's the even better argument -- what dictates the rules for going ghost? It seems to conveniently only allow crazies and super benevolent people to be ghosts, sometimes dogs and cats -- always pets or something.

If everything has a ghost that could roam, logically that means we should see ghosts of the bugs we kill, we should see the cat that we know got run over a couple years ago, obviously we should see ghosts of animals we can't even identify because they're extinct or from a time far back enough to where we don't have data.

Have we seriously just missed all those Tyrannosaurus ghosts? Thankfully ghosts aren't real because I saw a some ghost of a velociraptor running through the neighborhood. I'd be less inclined to leave my house.

whoa, I hope it's the benevolent kind.

Answering OP: No, I don't believe in anything supernatural.

I'm sure it's just PeripheralVisionary dressed up as a ghost. That's a fetish of his.
