CG, No CG, doesn't matter... Madhouse or whoever they get to animate it doesn't matter either. I'm just happy we are finally going to get something past the Golden Age arc. I'd still be super excited even if it was all stop motion. All that really matters is how well they tell the story.

Side note I hope Viz picks it up for an English release and brings back the original VAs for Guts and other returning characters.

Gotta keep those spirits high. Berserk is my favorite manga and the past anime/movie adaptions rank high even though they are flawed.

I've been waiting for this for years. So the only thing that will screw this up for me is if they butcher the story and characters.

The same goes for you. You are yet to show anything that make One Punch season 2 a guarantee or will be done anytime soon.

Second I no being a pessimist. I being a realist. You in the other hand have your head stuck on the clouds.

Has this been another studio it will have gotten a guarantee of a second season and probably within the next 2 years.

And if I remember correctly Madhouse hasn't done a season 2 of anything in the last 3 years or 2.

When you provide at anime made by them, who has gotten a season 2 in the last 2 years. Come and talk to me again. You sound like a fan who butthurt because just got told the reality of their show getting a new season.

No Hunter x hunter doesn't count. That series was done continually from beginning to end. One punch man just ended. 2 Different things.
If you can provide a show made by them in the last 3 years who has gotten a season 2. Will no mean anything or invalidated my core argument. Because it will no change the fact that they haven't made a lot of sequels. Yes, they have done so. But that rare. Out 20 series they do, 2 may get a season 2 or more.

Prince of Stride: Alternative TV 2016 Season one.

One-Punch Man TV 2015 Season one.

Daiya no A ~Second Season~ TV 2015 2 seasons.

My Love Story!! TV 2015 1 One season

Ore Monogatari!! TV 2015 1 season.

Death Parade TV 2015 One season. There Death Billiards too but that a movie. We are talking about a TV series here. So doesn't count.

Overlord TV 2015 1 Season

Parasyte -the maxim- TV 2014 1 Season.

HaNaYaMaTa TV 2014 1 Season.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei TV 2014 1 Season.

No Game No Life TV 2014 1 Season.

Mahou Sensou TV 2014 1 season.

Hajime no Ippo: Rising TV 2013 2000 - 2002 First season. Second season 2009. Season 3 2013 - 2014. Look a the time it took for every new season. It was no over night.

Sunday Without God TV 2013 One season.

Photo Kano TV 2013 One season.

Chihayafuru 2013 2 Seasons.

See Madhouse make amazing anime but season 2 is super rare for them.

If One punch man get a new season. I will be happier than you. But I no being a fucking pessimist nor does it make my conjecture unrealistic. So stop being a kid. I only told you the true.

For the record. OVAs and movies don't count. We are talking about TV series here.

Chihayafuru 2013 2 Seasons.

I assume you are counting from the first series, as otherwise you just remembered differently.

As the original series was fall 2011 - spring 2012, that would be outside the 3 year window.

You'll probably disqualify it as it is a co-production with Production I.G, but what about Ace of Diamond?

From what I understand, unless they want to dip into material from the original web comic that hasn't been covered in the manga, there probably isn't enough material for another One Punch Man in the near future.

Looking at some descriptions of the manga volumes, it appears the anime went through 7 of 10 volumes, which were released over a 3 year period. That would suggest an minimum interim of 1 year.

Around 2-2.5 years with no sequel is around the time I start suggesting to people they should lower their expectations for a sequel.

Well, I am giving the information base on Anime-planet. Many of this shows I have watched while some I have not.
I think collaborations qualify. Since they are still a TV series.

If it has content for a second full season they would, OPM blew up like Attack On Titan did. I had people who I never knew liked anime talking about OPM. If they would have known it would have been this popular I'm sure we'd have more content some how. There isn't a point in arguing about it though. You are going out of your way to try to prove an unnecessary point

BD/DVD sales average per volume for Attack on Titan = 52,052

One Punch Man volume 1 video sales = 8,887 (BD = 6,059, DVD = 2,828)

Keep in mind, AoT's volume 1 sales were even higher than its average (as is the case with most series).

Does this account for time though? I feel like OPM will rise, but this is pretty off topic. We are supposed to be hating on CG in this thread, not discussing OPM or Berserk lol

Many series don't even rank after the first week. For the few that do, yes, those get added. But OPM certainly won't double those sales, much less reach AoT levels.

Keep in mind the Japanese anime video market differs from the market here in more ways than just having far higher prices.

Nah I'm being an actual realist, you're being a pessimist, I've already pointed out why One Punch Man getting a season 2 isn't just some pipe dream.
1. Plenty of content for a season 2, the story is done all that's to do is the artwork.
2) One Punch Man is very popular, more popular than most of madhouses series.
3) Yusuke Murata has been working hard to make it happen doing storyboards and sketches.

Yes while it's true it's rare for Madhouse to do 2nd seasons that should not be taken as "Madhouse does not do 2nd seasons period." If you were a realist you'd see it as an open possibility, not going around saying it's not going to happen and saying anyone who thinks otherwise has their head in the clouds.

You are no being an actual realist. You are being a fanboy. I never say wouldn't happen. I say isn't has likely as you think it is.
All the reasons you gave mean nothing. All that is just hope no increase of their being more. Under that logic, most of Madhouse series would have gotten season 2 already.
