My friend's first experience dipping went horrible. He accidentally swallowed his spit and minutes later started to throw up.

Reason I don't dip.

Enjoy your gum disease.

No, I imagine it tasting horrible, if I wanted to ingest nicotine I'd chew nicotine gum.

I find it to be disgusting. I'd rather hookah than chew any day of the week.

I WILL, however, chew and enjoy bing lang whenever I fly back home. Betel nut, I think it's called? It tastes better than chewing tobacco and it just feels better for some reason.

I did it once in a while during my younger years.

The buzz is pretty intense. I did puke once, but the fault for that incident more likely lied in the half fifth of Vodka I had chugged that night.

I'm not a giant tobacco fan in general. But I have at least tried pretty much everything, usually when out drinking or having a poker party or something. I've probably smoked 3 packs of cigarattes, many many packs of swisher sweet mini's. A couple things of chew. Etc etc...typical 18 to early 20's shenanigans.

These days it's usually a hookah session a couple times a month and maybe a couple high quality cigars a year.

Anime is already cancerous enough, there's no way I'd be able to take up chewing tobacco as well.

No. Most of the people I know who do use it because they can't smoke in the workplace and it is about a 15 min bus ride to the edge of campus where they can smoke. They can't leave their offices to do that as often as they need a nic fix. The dip is cheaper than the gum and easier to get. So there are also a few who are trying to hide their addiction from their family who do this.

Crewing Tobacco and Dip are two different things my friend.

To answer the question yes I did. Between 2005-2007 in Iraq I ran night ops and couldn't smoke due to light discipline thus I dipped.

Plug type tobacco and the twist type tobacco were used either for pipe smoking by shaving off what was needed, or chunks would be bitten or cut off for oral use. You generally don't see this type of tobacco use except at Civil War reenactments anymore.
