We had something similar in my city recently. They wanted to protest at a mall, but it's private property so they quickly decided to change their position to the sidewalk.

The issue it's over is ridiculous though. The shooting wasn't even a white cop on a black civilian. To my knowledge the officer was Saudi Arabian and the guy pulled a gun on him.

yeah. but it's not about that , its about black lives matters.
you wouldn't say the issue is over if your mother father sibling aunt uncle or grandma or grandpa had something
like that happened to them

I'm saying that because that is specifically what spurred their protesting, and it's ridiculous. And before you go on a rant, I never said black people aren't entitled to care about fellow people of their race.

Would you like to hear the whole story? The man was pulled over on the side of the road. The cop pulled over to see if he needed help, but was undercover. The guy pulled a gun on him. The cop shot him. The reason the cop was put on administrative leave after an investigation was not because he shot the man, it was because he violated protocol by approaching this man as he did while out of uniform. But none of that matters because the man who was shot was black, so it's immediately a race issue, even though the cop was a minority himself.

This wasn't a matter regarding race, so I don't see a point in a black lives matter protest over it. Point blank.

Their goal seems to be to cause more problems than try to fix any at all.

Don't bother debating with someone if you have nothing of merit to say.

BLM is basically just a typhoon at this point. No rhyme or reason, just if they can see something that they can yell racism about (no matter how the facts stack up), they will, and they will yell loudly.

I think they did have some merit to start. But that has gradually withered away with the selective protesting.

Considering they took down large parts of our major highway system just to protest once before, most of us with jobs in the Twin Cities are pretty ticked off and probably wouldn't mind barring the protest in the MOA. Though I have to admit, very few people from the Twin Cities go to the MOA so it might not matter one way or another. My biggest concern is that the international airport is extremely closeby and airport traffic/safety is the biggest concern, meaning they have the potential to clash with the FBI and Homeland security if they do something stupid and widespread again even though they said they'll keep it small. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they took over the airport just because they started their protest at the MOA. It's not good since our airport already requires higher security than other airport because of the whole terrorist thing. So now I wait and see just how stupid some people can be, and hope that I don't get stuck in the middle of it all (since it's also by a major highway).
