I am afraid by the time it becomes an apparent issue, it will be far too late to fix it.

Fears like this have spurred the U.S. and Europe to cut carbon emissions and try to convince the rest of the world to follow suit. In the U.S., the Obama administration has begun efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050. Across the Atlantic, Europeans are calling for a 40 percent emissions reduction by 2040.

But these efforts will likely be in vain, according to American and British scientists, because even stopping all greenhouse gas emissions would do nothing to stop global warming.

Global warming wouldn't be the end of anything just another chapter in Earths long and unstable history. The real problem is our over-population over stressing water and food resources.

That or we could blow up a super volcano and partly block out the sun with dust, that'll cool the planet down.

It is real.

This question is asked many times; and it doesn't make any sense.

Global warming is a natural process that occurs everyday, hence why the Earth doesn't freeze at night time. Without global warming, temperatures would drop dramatically, it wouldn't stay in a livable range. You can even observe global warming by making a greenhouse in your backyard.

I think what you're asking is, accelerated global warming, that's the proper term. See when I see people say "global warming is not real", I know they don't even bother to educate themselves on the terms, so their statement seems even more unconvincing.

Of course accelerated global warming is real. It doesn't mean we're all going to die, it just means what's supposed to happen will happen sooner. It doesn't mean you'll all die in an oven, so I don't get why religious people are often defensive about it.

For example, in 100k years, the landscapes are going to change naturally, some regions will become warmer causing it to change into an entirely different ecosystems. But humans activities can accelerate that change, and cause harm to organisms because they can't evolve fast enough to adapt to that accelerated change.

There are also evidence of the Polar ice cap melting, again this is bound to happen anyway. It's just if you release more CO2 into the atmosphere, the change will come sooner. Islands with human inhabitants will disappear sooner than the natural process.

I feel like too many people are uneducated when it comes to scientific terminology, and get defensive about anything when it's not even that hard to understand.

I believe the term is anthropogenic global warming.

No.

The Holocene is already an interglacial (i.e. "naturally warm") period. If we were to ignore the radiative forcings due to anthropomorphic climate change (ACC), we'd already at a period in time where the earth is as warm as it can get. ACC is just pushing us past that, so we're going into climate territory that's been uncharted for a very long time, even on geological timescales, if at all.

I think we should be more focused on climate changes caused by human activity and overpopulation, things that have an abundance of data to support and need to be address immediately before the damage is irreversible.

From what I understand the shit is real. And the best we can hope for is to slow it down. I mean yeah that's a nice sentiment but if there is no real way to stop it..I don't know but in Afghanistan ya learn quickly not to throw men through a front door before tossing a grenade in first. So exactly what is the real solution to a event that is going to happen regardless of what we do?

Is this even a question? Might as well ask people whether they think the sun is real. The people who vote no will be just as idiotic.
