Most of the "irreversible" damage will fix itself after a few millon years... but us humans won't live to see that happen.

is it real? yes.
is there enough scientific evidence to support it? absolutely.
will anything be done about it? probably not, or at least nothing significant thanks to the incompetent Congress / House of Representatives that the US have.

The question isn't is it real anymore.
The facts are out accelerated global warming is occurring, the question now is how much damage is it going to create before we finally do something about it.

My parents would deny its existence but I'm seeing the truth of it so yes I believe in it. I won't tell my parents that of course.

I consider myself an environmentalist, tree-hugger, animal lover and conservation scientist. But I've never really latched onto this phrase global warming or even climate change because the terms are so vague that it makes it too easy for all the deniers to justify their denial.

Also, when somebody says global warming is a hoax, that doesn't really paint an accurate picture of what they really think about all the impacts on the environment human activity is causing, or if they are completely in denial of that too.

So while I say "yes of course global warming is real," that's just me using shorthand for the opinion that industrialization, overpopulation and manmade pollution are really screwing up the Earth's biodiversity and natural habitats and jeopardizing human health and wellbeing for every living thing as well.

Yes. And I find it both frightening and hilarious that people are so naive, easily-manipulated, and downright stupid to the point that they'd trust the word of a politician pocketing money from self-serving corporations that exist solely to make a profit over the word of 97% of the scientific community.

Of course, climate is never constant or stagnant. It varies!

Yes but remember there are people out there who just refuse to believe in science.

We don't have enough evidence to prove either way. Yes the world is heating up, but you can't judge the planet on 100 years worth of heat readings when it's billions of years old.

It's December in Canada and I saw someone walking their dog in shorts. While this is la nina causing the warmer winter, I've never seen a green Christmas in my life, so, yes, I believe in global warming.

So I take this as being mixed on the issue? Except the not enough evidence claim is false. We have evidence that polar ice that hasn't been exposed to the atmosphere in thousands (perhaps millions) of years is in danger of melting. This is a big concern because some of that ice contains large concentrations of greenhouse gases from natural sources. If it melts, it will add to human-produced greenhouse gas.

Which shows you can't attribute it all to natural processes, sure natural processes contribute a lot to environmental changes and we can't do anything about those, but human activity compounding the problem is very serious and probably preventable.

The scientists who came up with global warming admitted that it isn't real and it was just a hoax. No need to fear it, I believe they were trying to pull a prank on another scientist or something.

Let's see, I'm in the northern hemisphere and it's 85 degrees on Christmas. Hell yeah global warming is real.
