Based Lerche doing it again. They skipped a few scenes/details here and there but overall it was a solid adaptation of the LN. Animation and artwork is good too~

Here: http://www.theanimenetwork.com/Watch-Anime/Undefeated-Bahamut-Chronicle

But I think you'd have to subscribe, or wait until it is done airing, then get the free trial and marathon it...

Sentai has just announced their broadcasting plans for this show, and just like with Chivalry of a Failed Knight last season, it's going to be exclusive on Hulu with a subscription required to watch it the same day as in Japan.

Bakaneer, I have a question since I think you've seen series on the Hulu subscription before.

Do they always release them with the yellow subs and what's their usual simulcast for ongoing shows? I heard they were decent for last season's Rakudai.

Ok well after watching the first episode. I hate to say this, but aren't they rushing this a bit?? Were already halfway on the first novel. Still anime is pretty good and music is nice as well.

Episode 1: The Crimson Princess

I like what I see so far. The character designs are nice and the animation is very pretty. But Lerche is always bringing it with beautiful animation.

Ah after the first episode falling on top of a girl tropes of last season, at least we got one in this season unless there were others and I missed it. Hey at least he didn't get slapped.

Not sure what to think of the story yet, still introducing things I suppose. Action was alright from what they presented but I really wanted to see him pull out that black sword.

Anyways looking good so far, will come back next week.

I felt it was very rushed and some of the dialogue don't make sense. Why Liz would challenge him to a duel if she could skip it and send him straight to jail. She only challenged him because she heard that he was undefeated. (From my understanding) There is a lot of holes and I am worried that more of details will be skipped.

Well i notice they skip some scenes in the bath scene in the beginning. Skip couple other things, so i hate to admitted that they'll do what 5 vols in 13 episodes <_<. I do like this Novel tho, but hate to see it ruin, unless they do it well enough.

K, One Punch Man, and Chivalry all used the yellow subs too. I didn't really pay attention to when they were released vs the Japanese broadcast, but I think it was a few hours difference - less than a day at least.

Haven't read the LN, but as I recall the first chapter, or maybe first two chapters of the manga adaption covered about the same amount as well.

She challenged him because of their positions. He's a prince of the former royal family and she's the princess and heir apparent of the new royal family. Which was covered in the episode. Basically, she wanted to make a show of the new defeating the old.

So, the recipe for this series is:

1 World, Dragonar Academy
1 Set of Art, Bladedance
1 Set of Technology, Infinite Stratos
2 Main characters from Asterisk/Chivalry
1 Generic starting nude scene (required by law, now)

Mix in a bowl until thoroughly blended. Pour into floured baking dish. Heat to 375*F for 1 hour. Add hair color to taste.

I like Fantasy battle harems, and this might be way too bland for me.

I think it needs some more salt.

Actually, it feels more like only on Hulu where the main male character enters the room in some fashion with a princess naked (Chivalry *cough*)

The first two manga chapters are 60 pages long... each...

Episode 1

It starts off with the MC being an accidental pervert, which is something I have seen a bazillion times by now. This time, it happens with Lux running along roof tops and then falling into a bathhouse. And then he gets himself into quite a bind having to fight his way out of this mess by having a match with Lisha in those dragon machines that look just like those IS units, and while Lux is undefeated, he does it all without attacking. So when a dragon attacks, he uses evasion tactics so that Lisha can deliver the finishing blow, and he's enrolled in the all-girls academy. Well, that was just unoriginal there seeing that it's mostly action and things happened way too quickly. Anyway, this show is alright at the moment, but seeing that it's a Hulu exclusive that requires another subscription that this show is on the outside looking in. That said, I'll give it another episode at the very least.

Having gone back and checked, I was wrong - the first episode covers the same material as the first 3 chapters of the manga, which is about 190 pages. But it skips some of Lux's activities before falling into the bath, as well as a few extra flashbacks that'll probably be seen later. And if it actually had adapted at a pace similar to the manga, the show would have spent an entire episode on just the fight between Lux and Lisha. Because chapter 2 was almost entirely about that fight. Do you honestly want a 12 or 13 episode series to go all shounen and devote an entire episode to one fight?

I liked the first episode. Nothing groundbreaking, but still solid and good overall. I do love me some mecha shows. And the characters are cute.
