Hey everyone! We're excited to add yet another awesome catalog title to our lineup, and this time it's the dub of Samurai Pizza Cats, available TODAY at 5PM PST for users in the US and Canada! All 52 episodes will be available for Premium members today with 18 episodes per week for Free users (1-18 available today).

It's felines fighting felons in this fantastic furry farce! A mixed-up city of old and new, Little Tokyo is an old-fashioned Japanese city populated by robotic animals, where samurai cats working out of a pizzeria punish packs of pugnacious pillagers all to protect the peace of the people.

They've got their work cut out for them, for in between the speedy delivery of pizza pies, the dirty rat (quite literally) of a politician named "Big Cheese" plots to control the city, and with his reach far exceeding his grasp, he's continually cooking up constantly crazier contrivances!

Enjoy!

How far technology has come.

Back in the day, this being on at the same time as another show stopped me from watching it.

Now, regional restrictions... umm, will be just as effective. Of course. *looks shifty*

OMG THANK YOU !!!

Now give us Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken and I can die in peace. (´・ω・)!!

Edit: Oh wait... is only the dubbed version.... ○| ̄|_

Don't get me wrong is how I saw it at first when I was a kid, but it really differs from the original version. And actually I liked it more in japanese, the puns and gags are tougher to understand but was so much worth it.

Hope CR can put it subbed, please. (´・ω・)ノ

What is shifty? The Company only has the rights to the Series for North America.

Publisher: Discotek Media (a US video distributor that has been putting many of these titles on CR lately).

They seem to be aware that exposure results in more sales (as well as making some money on people that would never buy), rather than having the "streaming = lost sales" mentality many international companies seem to have.

The first anime I ever watched, even before DBZ. I actually never thought it would find its way here.

US and Canada only... Some of us heard this cruel joke many times as of late.

May I humbly suggest yet again to put at least the mark "(NA)" on the end of the title, like some other users did before me in previous announcements. It's frustrating to get deluded time after time with these very strict additions.

May I suggest that who the publisher is or which countries the publisher has the rights for is completely irrelevant? There's nothing stopping Crunchyroll from going to whoever holds other international rights and acquiring the show off them. They did it with Prison School, which was initially available in French-speaking territories from Anime Limited (a.k.a. All the Anime) and then in a bunch of other territories from Showgate.

Regardless of who they brought the show from, CR presumably took a conscious decision to the exclude parts of the world. I'm not going to be too mean about it, as they do seem to actually be listening and trying to clear more international rights to their bigger announcements (just a shame they can't convince Toei Europe to be more realistic about the prospects of anybody buying UK TV rights to any of their shows).

But I'm fed up of people passing this off as unfair, unrealistic sour grapes from Crunchyroll's international customers. We pay a similar amount, it's only reasonable for us to expect to get a similar service.
