A new video was just released on youtube of Israelis spraying Palestinian homes with "Skunk".

I for one think its despicable the way Israel treats the Palestinians and wish America (and Europe) would stop condoning it.

Hey, now that is a god damn original way of showing the enemy a thing or two. Wish we had thought of that when we were in Afghanistan. Bombing the caves the camel jockeys hang out in that stuff would have been hilarious.

Israel is God's chosen land! They are doing the Lord's job!

I've heard people say that before

I don't know about the Lord's work but even the most bleeding heart liberal has to realise the Jewish claim on the holy land pre-dates the Islamic and Christian claim on the holy land. The bloody Palestinians should realise that already, or are they particularly stupid?

Um...am I wrong for wondering if they HAVE skunks in the Middle East? I sort of thought they were native to the North American continent.

(And yes, I mean the animal. They don't have raccoons, either, do they?)

For starters, do some research. The use of skunk started in 2008 and has since then been sold by the Israeli company that developed it, to nations around the world. It is a form of non-lethal crowd control that is less caustic than tear gas, and because it is a liquid, it is less likely to float away on air currents into areas where it is not desired. On to that video...

That white truck at the start has a water cannon. You can hear sounds of something explosive too. Would you tell someone that they can't defend them self against gunfire or grenades? There is someone throwing things at the truck in a white shirt. Explosives are easy to acquire and/or manufacture, so they may be impromptu grenades. You'll notice the spraying stops when the explosive noise stops. Either someone stopped shooting a gun, throwing explosives, or both.

The second clip in the video is a police vehicle from a news broadcast in 2013 (stated in the upper right corner) and is not a military operation. That is a law enforcement activity.

The third clip in the video shows signs of a protest including something on fire in the lower left corner. It too was taken from 2013.

Before claiming that this is something ongoing or that it is unacceptable, take a look at what you are viewing and what you are talking about. Skunk has been internationally accepted as a non-lethal tool for dispersal of dangerous groups. If someone is shooting at you, as in the start of the video, and you can drive them away with something that smells bad is that not better than shooting them and possibly innocents too? If you have a group or individual that you are trying to arrest and know that entering their home leaves your law enforcement exposed and at risk for injury, would you not want to drive the individual out of their home so your people can perform their job in a safer setting?

I'm not saying that everything that has happened is positive, but I would rather see conflicts resolved without loss of life than with loss of life. The product "skunk" is produced by a company called Odortec LTD. and you can see support for the product from BBC, SkyNews, the FBI, and the state of Florida. The company that provides it to US law enforcement goes by the name of Mistral Security.

Jewish exclusivity is debatable, as God also promised a nation to Ishmael's descendants. Of course, it all means nothing to those who don't believe in our Voodoo.

I am not equipped to argue theology I just meant the Jewish claim on the holy land pre-dates the other two on an archaeological time scale.

You would think that all money that their government receives they would rebuild but no they just use it for weapons instead of feeding their own people. If the people of Palestine want to better themselves renounce Hamas and make peace with Israel.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_aid_to_Palestinians#Major_donors
For one year 1,091,649,846 billions of dollars in the year of 2013 Just imagine if they actually wanted peace and just rebuild.

I have come to the conclusion that the average pali is a masochist. Especially when information like this comes out.

(1) Popular Palestinian-Israeli confrontations:

67% support and 31% oppose use of knives in the current confrontations with Israel. But about three quarters (73%) oppose the participation of young school girls in the stabbing attacks and a quarter supports it.
37% believe that the current confrontations will develop into a new armed intifada, 18% believe they will develop into wide scale peaceful popular confrontations, and 13% believe they will develop in both directions. By contrast, 19% believe the confrontation will stay as they are now and 10% believe they will gradually dissipate.
66% of the public (71% in the Gaza Strip and 63% in the West Bank) believe that if the current confrontations develop into an armed intifada, such a development would serve Palestinian national interests in ways that negotiations could not.
50% of the public (61% in the Gaza Strip and 43% in the West Bank) believe that if the current confrontations develop into wide scale peaceful popular confrontations, such a development would serve Palestinian national interests in ways that negotiations could not.
51% of the public (62% in the Gaza Strip and 43% in the West Bank) believe that if the current confrontations stay as they are now, they would serve Palestinian national interests in ways that negotiations could not.
51% of the Palestinian public (67% in the Gaza Strip and 40% in the West Bank) believe that most of the Palestinians who fell after being shot by the Israeli army or settlers have in fact stabbed or were attempting to stab Israelis. But 47% believe that most of those who were shot have not stabbed or were not attempting to stab Israelis.
We ask the public in an open-ended question what reason it believes behind the lack of large popular participation in the current confrontations. The largest percentage (43%) said that the reason might be fear of the PA or the occupation; 19% thought the reason is despair and the belief that the confrontations are likely to be in vain; 6% said that most people are busy providing for their families; 5% said it is due to lack of factional leadership for the current confrontations; and 4% said it has to do with the lack of friction points with the Israeli occupation forces.
We also asked the public in an open-ended question about the motivation of the little school girls who participate in stabbing attacks: 41% said they believe they are driven by national motivation; 26% said the motivation was personal; and 16% said the motivation was religious. 11% said it was a combination of national and religious motivations.
When comparing the level of support of various parties for the current confrontations, Hamas comes on top with 71% of the public believing that it supports them, followed by the PFLP, receiving 66%, Fatah (59%), and al Mubadara or the Initiative (53%). By contrast, only 33% say president Abbas supports the confrontations, 28% say Jordan supports them, and only 14% say Egypt supports them.
