Also hopping that Ajin will get a license by crunchyroll for streaming since I would love to watch and they have the manga.

Unfortunately, I am quite confident that won't happen, since it is licensed by Netflix:

Like Knights of Sidonia and the The Seven Deadly Sins before it, it will be exclusive to Netflix in all countries Netflix operates (with the exception of Japan).

GAAAHH. Nooo. Not Netflix.

I'm hoping this list gets bigger fast! The holiday lull is helping me catch up on my manga, but little else.

Awesome news. The Boku Dake ga Inai Machi/Erased manga is really good and I'm looking forward to watching the anime on CR! Excited for the Yuki Kajiura soundtrack.

I seriously doubt it would be on CR, given that Funimation probably controls the international rights. Daisuki and possibly also Viewster seem more likely (assuming Funimation isn't suddenly going to jump into international simulcasting).

Can you please air the anime of Momokuri, since you recently licenced the manga for it?

why does crunchyroll always trickle their announcements out over many weeks, while funi can just give a single list up front? this is getting tedious, just tell us what you've licensed and be done with it

Funimation doesn't have to worry about negotiating regions. It should also be noted they don't announce simulcast dates or times until much closer to the simulcast premiere (often closer to time than CR). If you wanted CR to simply announce a bunch of titles, but not say who would get them or when, then perhaps they could announce earlier.

That said, aside from sating the impatience of some people, what would be the real benefit of that?

I imagine companies are probably more willing to talk to a company that will also take home video and TV rights, instead of just streaming. FUNimation are also more selective in the shows they acquire, whereas Crunchyroll openly confirm that they put a bid in for anything and everything within a season, so there's probably a lot more behind the scenes negotiating and work going on.

FUNimation do have worry about regions - they have to decide whether it's just South America they want to screw over or whether they want to go for most of the English-speaking world as well...
