Keep it, unless I saw the person who dropped it, then of course I would give it back.

As tempted as I would be to keep it...I would probably try to return it if possible.

ignore it and let someone else have the choice

I've returned money before, 20, 30, 40$. I'm not sure what size of large would make me cave to the natural greed of humanity and keep it for myself.. maybe $1000?

I once found a wallet full of hundreds while on my way to work ...and I was gonna presume it was more than I make in a week >_> but It had an old man's ID and there was a retirement home near by so...because I couldn't keep no matter much I needed it and how much I hate people....being nice sucks :l I gave it to the guy who lets people in and out but I ended up being late to my job due to this....its cool my boss believed me But now...if I found the same wallet or about the same I'd keep it(aka keep the money and I'll leave the wallet in the floor like I found it c: ) >_< the dark side is too strong~

Pretty much. What else are you supposed to do with it? I guess you could give it to a homeless guy if there's one around or something, but I'd probably keep it. No reason not to if there's no one there to claim it.

Now, what the OP didn't tell us is that the large pile of money is actually booby trapped with a large pit fell set up by the chinese mafia. And all of those who went over to take the money fell in and will now be sold as sex slave in Venezuela. Mwahahahaha sucks for all you greedy people >:)

My mom taught me this as a kid: If you see someone drop their money, tell them. If you do not see the owner, take it.

If I see someone drop it or there's a way to return it that doesn't involve the police I'll make an effort.
One fellow I worked with turned some cash in to the police and by the time the owner got it back they ended up with $35 of the $75.... there was a fee....
Money in a wallet with I.D. I'd drop it at their place or send it to them, maybe missing a few bucks . . . for shipping and handling . . .

If it's just sitting there, it's mine.

Considering of well off I am financially I hardly need that kind of karma following me around. I'd report the missing money, and try to return it to it's rightful owner. An over abundance of thieves seems to think opposite of me though.
