Now, let's hear your crazy shopping stints; because while I'm not hit with any buyer's remorse (yet), I do feel a tiny tinge of guilt since there's no way I'm gonna tell my wife how much these little beauties cost once they start arriving one by one...

Eh, won't the missus wonder why $1,000 "disappeared" or do you both do your finances separately?

My biggest spending sprees usually occur when I need new PC hardware: I tend to future-proof, and I game. I will sometimes drop cash on wristwatches too, but I clamp down on that urge pretty firmly. I only own a couple and they're modest brands (Seiko, Citizen, etc. as opposed to Rolex).

I rather no talk about it. I have done stupid things to get money to buy shit I want.

It's okay, just skip to the shopping part

Let say for 12 months straight I use 200 dollars to buy stuff. So using multiplication time 12 I wasted 2400. Buying something that I shall no name. That no even mentioning taxes. So is a lot more.

Using my Special Nanikore Math:

2400 / 365 days where the spendin' is happenin' = 6.57

Versus 1000 / 1 night where the spendin' happened = 1000

6.57 / 1000 * 100 = 0.65

So that makes it you're only about 0.65% as wasteful during that whole year as I did in one night

See? It's still a-okay!

I did say with taxes is a lot more. Also that what I mentioning. Also that no normal for me. I usually don't buy much. Also if I say what I use the money for. You will call me provably stupid.

It's supposed to be "entertainment expense". Kinda like how drugs are "entertainment" except when it turns out not to be entertaining

The reason that I don't gamble is because the one and only time I touched a slot machine as a kid I got static shocked so badly that it left a (thankfully temporary) zig-zag burn mark on my wrist

That was probably the God of Gambling telling me to lay the heck off

I feel your pane I started getting figures but I got another hobby (I am still ordering the new motoko kusanagi from arise) I have the older ones I have to finch the set now XD But I found other types of art to buy and use that and co-workers look at me weird posing figures on my desk.

I work in some really remote places so my excuse is its an ''investment in safety''. my new art is firearms ^^ santa ordered me a Bushnell HDMR scope this year and like any new extrasensory you got to see what it works best with XD some co-workers still look at me weird tho. but if a bear plays with the tail of a helicopter and there stranded for days with a bear! not so weird now is it.
