Agreed. These garbage threads in GD have sucked all the oxygen out of these forums. I joined CR to discuss anime, not rehash tired arguments that are happening everywhere else on the god damn internet

I like this guy.

Okay, here's what tipped me off. The fact is, people often try to undermine or deny the validity of say, the LGBT movement, or any 3rd wave feminist, by using extreme examples of them at work, case in point the trans age 50 some year old man pretending to be a 6 year old girl, and due to the constant rambling of a certain forumer with a megaman avatar, I've come to realize that Social Justice Warrior seems a lot like a slur by conservative to attack liberal movements. What do you think?

I just realized I never really addressed the original post.

It's not necessarily a modern-conservative-on-liberal slur. Quite frankly conservatives aren't well vested in 'internet culture'--which is primarily where this is all located. Some proponents of using the term are actually quite secular (Ex: Sargon of Akkad).

Frankly I find it has it's own kind of divide that probably garners more conservatives towards it, but not necessarily. I think it rides off of more personal experiences and dogmatism, among its current sensationalism.

I can't help but demerit someone's opinion when they blither the term quite frantically. It's more often a sign of personal disparage than a well constructed argument.

The term's usage has exceeded its purpose of definition. Feels like mud in the mouth because of that continuous and prissy trigger happy sporadic rapid fire of it.

Nothing wrong with the occasional use, especially when defining rather than assaulting the 'unliked' opinion of another.

I personally dislike using it at all given present circumstance.

SJW are fashists by another name. That's all there is too it. Unfortunally people think of Nazis if Fashism is mentioned, so I'll explain it: Fashism is like a sport and Nazis are like fans of a particular team, SJW are just fans of another team but at the end of the day they sitll are and always will be fashists.

I stopped right about here. She's said that if you play games like fallout than you are a terrible human being. Well that's paraphrased at least.

HOLY STRAWMAN BATMAN!

Strawman? Nah, your comment wasn't worth the read. I simply replied to what I did read. But, if you want to say I strawmanned you, than more power to you I guess.

People have a need to bitch and complain to people who care, thus why you see people who clearly hate a franchise or song, going in a video about it JUST to leave a comment. Such is human nature.

Meh, an ignore function doesn't seem fun.

Social justice "warrior" implies that they're actually valiantly fighting against something. I prefer the term "social justice whiner" or "wanker".

There's a difference between fighting against actual injustices and trying to fight for your own overspecialization to benefit yourself, to demand respect for the darndest things, such as third person "they" pronouns even though you're a fuckin' cis girl, or to not be called anything "female", or to not be insulted whatsoever if you do wrong. The world is unfair and there is no reason why one person over any other, especially on the fucking INTERNET, should be treated with much more decency than anyone else. Especially if you're being a lousy, demanding, whiny brat.

Because we can't.

Because these people want to use our hobby as a stepping stone for their own personal power and careers.

Even if it means destroying that hobby in the process:

So it's important to let the industry and other fans know about this (inbetween watching delicious yuri, of course ) and vote with our viewing habits and wallets.

Common distaste for SJWs is a hell of a lot bigger than petty politics. Not for one second do I believe that you don't know that.
