I'm not a Ghibli fan, but I'm always curious to see if maybe, somehow, there's something there that I'll like more than I usually do. Unfortunately at the moment it doesn't look like anything is scheduled in my area--which seems odd.

(BTW, moved this into the Anime forum. It was in Advice, Info, Recommendations and I'm not sure if that was an accident or intentional. In case it was intentional, I'll clarify that that forum is for people to request Advice, Info, Recs and received replies to those requests. If you have something like this, that you might consider a "recommendation" it's okay to put it in the main forum as an announcement, or even as something folks who've seen it might want to discuss.)

Thanks for the correct information tbh I am a little intimidated by the anime forum so I sheepishly put it in advice and info section. I am bummed the film isn't playing in your area especially with the theme of the movie. A career female questions her hectic job path after she takes a vacation to see family and friends to work on her family farm in the country. Not married no kids the 27 year old starts to wonder if she is missing something in her life in Tokyo.

Wish they'd stop using words like nationwide for limited releases. It'll be in 21 theaters in 14 states, and some of them only for two days. But it looks interesting despite the rather terrifying trailer thumbnail, I'd like to see it sometime.

I am a big of Ghibili films so I'll try to catch this. From the link, it is going to show on February 26. That's the same day as the supposed showings of Kizumonogatari. It would be cool to catch the two back-to-back.

FYI this movie debut was 25 years ago so for sure on Amazon already. The movie never made it the States on big screen plus its directed by the legend-Takahata Isao (Grave of Fireflies)

I can't believe Daisy Ridley is voicing Taeko...

I have high hopes for this dub.

I normally like Studio Ghibli films but this one was really really depressing.

It's my favourite Ghibli movie by far, due to the absence of fantasy elements.
