Looking for an anime with a relationship, either male/female or yuri. Nothing thats beating around the bush the ENTIRE time. Maybe at the start but not where the anime ends with them finally getting together. I like high action types too. Something like Sword Art online. Harem is okay but i prefer if there is a singular relationship but maybe others butting in. The relationship doesnt have to be the focus but definitely a big part.

Thanks.

I'm currently watching the Monogatari series, which has a significant amount of relationship material, but it isn't necessarily the focus. Mirai Nikki kinda has this in a twisted way. Eureka 7, Welcome to the NHK, Nana and Gurren Lagann are also a good ones. Maybe posting what you've seen would give us a good gauge of what to recommend you.

BTOOOM! Is definitely the best choice, Accel World second. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry from last season was a decent romance with awesome action.

Seikai no Monshou aka Crest of the Stars.

I am fairly sure you can find it on amazon.

Also, Spice and Wolf, which is available via funimation. Maybe here too. Too lazy to look.

Moved this to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum. Chivalry of a Failed Knight, which others have mentioned, is the first thing that came to my mind.

Have you checked out /symphogear? I think it has most of what you're looking for. The relationships are a bit subtextual, but it's clear that many of the girls are more than just friends.

Here is my full list of shows about people in relationships. I've marked the ones that have action in them:

-- Accel World (confession comes in the first episode, but not much romance after that) -- Good action
-- Ah My Goddess (couple from the beginning) -- small amount of comic action
-- Ai Yori Aoshi (couple from the beginning; some harem elements, but nothing that interferes)
-- Aishiteruze Baby (couple from about the half-way point in the series, give or take)
-- Amagami SS/SS+ (all but one of the plot arcs end with a confession; the second season, then has each as a couple)
-- Arakawa: Under the Bridge (couple from the beginning, but very little relationship development)
-- Clannad: After Story (couple from the end of season 1)
-- Dusk Maiden of Amnesia (couple from close to the beginning)
-- Eureka Seven (couple from about the half-way point) -- Good mecha action
-- Familiar of Zero (couple from the end of the first season) -- some magic action
-- Golden Time (couple for most of the series)
-- I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying (couple from before start of series)
-- Itazaru na Kiss (couple from about the half-way point)
-- Kare Kano: His and Her Circumstances (couple for most of the series)
-- Little Busters: Refrain (couple for most of Season 2)
-- Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (couple from the end of the first season) -- some imaginary/magic action
-- Maoyu (couple from the first episode, though not much relationship development) -- some action
-- Monogatari Series (couple from the second arc of Bakemonogatari) -- some gore/action
-- My Love Story (couple after the first few episodes)
-- Mysterious Girlfriend X (couple from the beginning)
-- Please Teacher (fake couple from beginning--turns real about half-way point)
-- Say "I Love You" (couple after the first couple episodes)
-- The World is Still Beautiful (arranged marriage from beginning; steadily turns real through series)

Recommendations:
Spice and Wolf (established early on there is romantic interest and basically becomes a couple without the title of one)
Nodame Cantabile (first season is how the relationship gets established, second season is the growth of the couple, and third season is about the main female protagonist and how she deal's with her boyfriend's success)
My Little Monster (not really a fan favorite, but I personally enjoyed how it's clear what the OTP is in the first episode and how they work out it out through a 12 episode series)
Lovely Complex (the story of a girl who falls in love with her best friend and tries to turn his feelings to be the same for her; established somewhat early in the series that she likes him and the rest of the series is her trying to change his feelings)

Outside of My Little Monster, the shows I listed are probably in my 20 top animes I have ever seen. I am a rom com and slice of life type of guy and those were the shows I enjoyed the relationships the most.
