Hi guys :)

I bought the entire One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto films collection, and want to know two things:

1- When do they take place ?

2- Which one are canon ?

P.S: When I say canon, I mean Which one takes place in the One Piece, Bleach, or Naruto anime or manga

universe that we know.

since I only really followed bleach, none of the movies are cannon and can be watched at any point after the soul society arc.

Dont think they really have anything that spoils the series; however I believe I heard a rumor that the movie "memories of nobody" recently became sort of canon? because they mentioned one of the characters in the manga?, however still doesn't spoil anything.

Actually some of the Bleach ones have tie ins with the manga and anime series.

A special chapter of the manga and several anime omake episodes were produced to tie in with Movie 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion.
A special chapter of the manga and anime episode 299 were created to promote Movie 4: The Hell Verse.

As the original poster's definition of canon is, "Which one takes place in the... Bleach... anime or manga universe that we know," both films are canon. I am sure that others would classify them as filler though.

I haven't seen any of One Piece yet and only the first 3 of the Naruto films.

I've not watched the Naruto movies in a few years but I am fairly sure there were some inconsistencies with the chronology of the main series. You might be able to consider them filler or perhaps treat them as a slightly alternate universe version.

I haven't seen most of the early One Piece movies, but I'm pretty sure they are all just non-canon stories. Side adventures that have no bearing on the main anime/manga. Movies 8 and 9 are retellings of 2 story arcs from the series. Movie 8 retells the story of Alabasta and their battle against Crocodile. Movie 9 retells the story of Drum Island which is where they first meet Chopper, but it also adds in crew mates that don't become a part of the crew till later in the actual storyline.

The last two movies, Strong World and Film Z, the only two to be written by Eiichiro Oda so far. Both these series seem to have been made canon. I'm not sure about the manga as I don't read that, but the anime included episodes that referenced the villains from both movies and the villains of Film Z make a direct appearance in a few episodes of the anime. Strong World takes place between the Thriller Bark and Sabaody Archipelago arcs, while Film Z takes place after the Fishman Island arc.
