I never randomly accuse anyone of anything.

However, saying "Nah, I didn't really like [insert anime here]" is far from "That show is so fucking retarded, and the people who like it are idiots who don't know what good anime is. And I can tell you all about it, because I watched every episode, even though I hate it. No one should like that show... what a blah blah blah, blah blah blah. Blah blah blah, blah, blah. Blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah. Furthermore, blah blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah. And that's why, blah blah blah blah blah.... blah!"

Some people are bad at explaining their opinions, but with kids they're just really bad with having "informed" or "mature" opinions in the first place. I don't have a lot of experience with blind lovers and blind haters.

I doǹt Like AoT.

Why?

Because I doǹt, I Never cared for the art style in the manga, never cared to watch the anime cause frankly I could never get into the story. Also when it was like it was airing people acted like it was the best thing to ever happen to the medium, when quite frankly it isǹt.

I write a lot of anime reviews (no not on this account, I only have some and they are rough drafts) so hating on something comes naturally, I guess. But that doesn't mean I dislike the anime. The anime I show hostility towards are the ones with tons of fanboys that say it's the greatest thing that ever existed on planet earth. That ticks me off. Again though, I still like the anime, it just makes me mad.

While I love AoT, I understand and respect your opinion. It took a couple tries for me to get into it, if I'm being honest.

However, again, simply stating that you dislike something and why is NOT what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about people who will rage on and on about how crappy something is, and why everyone who likes it are idiots. The ones who claim the fan-boys are the problem, when there are literally more haters than fan-boys.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to not like AoT

Nope.

Yeah and for good reason, it's amazing.

If you haven't even watched it, experienced the soundtrack as the story progresses, you're opinion is irrelevant. It's like me jumping on the band wagon saying Naruto or Bleach is shit just because they're popular, but I've never seen it so my opinion wouldn't matter.

Why would this tick you off? To them, in that moment, it very well may be. I think that's a much more genuine feeling towards a show than jumping on a hate-wagon to look cool. *shrug*

The entire modern sj movement is one large bandwagon, ha ha ha. It's essentially the same concept. Many people hop on it just to superficially fulfill their need for drama or hate in their lives to try and gratify themselves. Internet culture, or netizen culture, in a sense, involves a lot of bandwagoning to fit a particular heightened 'standard' of politeness that I don't fuckin' get. Meanwhile, I'm on the sidelines laughing.

SAO is overrated its not that bad though, I don't really think their trying to look cool unless they involve other people in it (e.g- SAO is a shit anime and anyone who can watch and actually enjoy it is clearly mentally disabled). (Not true just setting an example)

Well, like I said, because they just seem over the top and when you have a show you know is better and they refuse to believe it, THAT is what really gets me. In the end I guess that's opinionated though.

There are some reason why people not like AOT. Rorschach rarely make good protagonists, mainly because you're not suppose to root for them. They're self righteous assholes pandering to common power fantasies much like a superhero, but far more sinister and ruthless than you'd normally expect. Lelouch was a mild example of this, but Eren is this to a 10.

Who hates on SAO, I love that series even if it made me watch a hour and half long flash back episode. Kirito is awesome sauce.

Personally, the guys described by OP sound like a bunch of MAL users. The ones who're active forumers over there. the MAL forums can be kind of a pit.

Exactly, it's an opinion. I have no issue with someone stating their opinions, regardless of how unrealistic.

I just get annoyed when I hear the same copy + paste responses to why to hate something, and their hate isn't even their own opinion. When you're literally repeating things you've heard, rather than forming your own opinion.... you have no opinion at all and are just trying to look cool by stating what someone you thought was cool had said about it. And generally, the people with the original opinion don't even hate so strongly.

Because I'm right. No other anime since Bebop (and arguably Death Note), has given anime a much more recognized medium to non-anime fans since (with the exception of Pokemon, but I know a lot of people that watched that and never got into anime). It was a worldwide success, for both the manga and anime. The music is also amazing and has some of the best artists and talented instrumentalists. The only critism someone can make of the show is if they don't like a certain character or the cliff hangers but that is more personal opinion. What I've said isn't opinion, it's just fact.

Look how popular SAO is, but to most people who don't watch anime they've never heard of it, because the show does have it's faults. Attack on Titan on the other hand is amazing through and through, and that's from a lot of hard work. So when someone says the show 'is mediocre' or some other shit, they're wrong.
