Episode 3

Right off the bat, Honan faces a strong opponent in Saisei, and before the match they have a chat. Those conversations between opponents at the starting points are pretty funny. Riku's speed gives him the early lead, but he slows down, then Hozumi's jumping abilities get them the lead with a daring move, Heath falls behind with Senoo blocking him out, then Ayumu really struggles leaving Takeru with a huge deficit to overcome. Takeru is able to catch up, but it ends with a narrow defeat. Despite being one and done in the spring festival, they are all psyched up for the EOS as the sponsorship deal goes forward. Those boys sure did get along really nicely with each other, and a rivalry is born. I was expecting them to lose given the huge experience gap and then to be rewarded for their efforts in the end. Things have been developing nicely.

That was actually neat. The music was on par with the episode's choreography as well.

The match itself focused a lot more on striding and obstacles with a decent amount of moves. Can't say I'm that impressed by everyone's performances but there's definitely a lot of energy poured into the match. Kadokwai struggled more than I had expected though. Or maybe Saisei is just a bit too tough to take on at this stage of the show.

Episode 3

Okay, now this series just caught my attention.

Music was interesting and that race was just entertaining to the point where I felt like I wanted to go running/sprinting again! Ugh, if only my lower back wasn't still injured.... Getting to know some of the characters was nice and the comedy bits were fun as well!

Ready for the next stride!!

So in the end even with 4 second head start they almost pulled the upset not bad. Its interesting that you can bypass obstacles without penalties wondering if that will change in more serious tournaments? Not big on idol group also being a Strider Team to over the top for trying to hard to appeal to all types of fans

Episode 3: Galaxy - Now, Stars Who Shine

Yes that was a great match to watch. The race was intense. My only gripe is that I kind of wish they animated the parkour a little more instead of using moving still shots. But it was still enjoyable.

Was not expecting the idol performance in the beginning. But it goes to show how big Saisei really is and they aren't just pretty faces, but can actually Stride.

Wonder if we are going to get a flashback episode of both Yagami and Kaga at Honan doing their race just to see how amazing they were. I hope so. But then again I also want to see the current Honan crush the competition.

I like it so far, at least the enemy team is mostly likable. They aren't the cocky type. Except for the one that probably ran against Heath, Orange hair, I don't like him. Anyways looking forward to more

Episode 4

Takeru sure does take the sport seriously, and he knows everything about meat. Next opponent is Mihashi at the EOS Trial Tour in Atami and the night before the race, they have a hot springs dip. Nana's timing was pretty bad, but the boys were able to connect. Once again, Ayumu was the weak link, and he takes a dangerous shortcut. But despite getting injured, he finishes and Hozumi gets the win for Honan. That was an exciting match, and Ayumu gave it his all just when it looked like he was going to let the team down again. Let's see how this team responds with Ayumu's injury seeing that he took quite a nasty fall.

Well that got rough. I mean, this is a high level match that Honan's Stride club got themselves involved in.

Nagatsuka looks like a Titan LOL

And that shortcut during the race was quite the risk. First half was boring to me except for some of the race obstacle mechanics. Second half was much more thrilling with the race. What I find interesting is how they use the music for this series. Quite well done there. Ayumu was quite a daredevil imo with that shortcut. I give him some praise for that just because of the risk involved.

Episode 4: Run - When The Mind is Full

This was a good episode. Sure there was the slice of life type of stuff in the first half but its the race that makes the episode. And it was a pretty intense race.

I like how they showed the importance of the relationer role and how even the relation can get tripped up by the other relationer. It's all about mind games in a sport like this.

Ayumu, I hope your sister's surgery goes well. XD But seriously though props to him for taking the big risk and trying to better himself. Hope he comes back ready for more.

Oh no, Tomoe is coming back? Does that mean Honan will become the big titan it once was? Hopefully both him and Kyousuke join the team and wreck the competition. Looking forward to it.

Action was good and we got an inside on how a relationer actually can bluff but doesn't always work. Looks like the more you take risks on course the shorter the distance to finish line so no risks no reward

What a race!

The heat and intensity of the stride was just on fire today, especially that shortcut scene!

Hozumi pulls of the upset, thanks to some inspiration from Ayumu. He even darted right back towards Ayumu while the other guy was winded .

The race was pretty exciting, especially the second half. I always thought it was weird that the Relationers sat right next to each other. I would think that it would be fairer to have them on separate corners.

Yeah , its weird why set-up the relationer next to each other ...its distracting

Injuries are always bound to happen in this sport.... i was pretty good when I was a kid in running jumping over and avoiding obstacles since we always played tag but not anymore... well I have avoided many close call of falling and tripping. LOL

exciting episode , animation is pretty good during the race.

Also noticed voices of Matsuoka as Kei and Hanae as the older bro relationer faker

This anime doesn't waste any time does it? Already there has been 3 races, a hot springs visit and photo shoot. That's like 1/2 season for some sports animes. Like that there is no needless filler/flashbacks to previous episodes like you see in Kuroko or Yowamushi pedal.

It could fall into the sports anime trap of every meeting being the closest race in human history, which IMO isn't exciting. Other than that no complaints.

Episode 5

Kyosuke is back, and its no wonder he left the club as he's a bad influence to the team. But with Ayumu out with an injury, they need to find a replacement and they are going hard after Kyosuke even though not everybody is on board. What happened is that Kyosuke injured Heath's foot one time. But what really happened is that their relationer fell for a bluff causing Heath to twist his foot and his teammates were ready to beat him up, but Kyosuke protected him by taking the blame. Thus, everybody was on board with bringing Kyosuke back and Heath convinced him to join just moments before the next race. That was really nice to see that Kyosuke was the hero in this mess that nearly meant the end to the club.
