Also, considering the posts from this thread, you must consider yourself lucky that you even have friends.

I have two friends from my childhood, but I grew distant to them since we parted ways in a sense when stepping into the adult life. When we were little the three of us were very close, indeed. Nowadays I speak to them from time to time, but I certainly don't expect much affection from them anymore. Well, the truth is the 'love' I'm looking for at this stage in life is my partner's love - partner who unfortunately doesn't exist yet.

But I do believe is nothing wrong in expecting your friends' love. It's one of the best things ever.

Guy friends or girl friends? For me not really. I need more girl friends to actually talk with. Face to face mostly but online will work.

Not really. I'm not a touchy-feely person. But I used to get jealous over my friends. I'm a possessive person.

I've found things that started with friends far more fulfilling... but then again, if you're seeking something real, it'd be hard to find someone who you wouldn't already see as a friend (the acceptance, values, etc).

Well...after a couple years of being close friends you sit down and realize you can't picture life without 'em anymore.

And then you add things together and you have that 'oh fucking shiiiiiiiiiiiiit' realization.

I think that's how most best friend turned romance things work.

Not really a 'crushy feely' thing. Like a '"How do I drive?" and you put down the book and you realize someone already had you in the driver's seat with your foot on the gas pedal' kind of thing.
