I made this thread an hour ago.

yeah I totally agree that was a bad call to close that, I don't agree at all that any opposing views are censored or shut down, and dismissed.

It is so misleading! I mean I even knew before hand that there exists it also as a place, but I was still like... Lol what is that cologne? Such funny name for a topic. :DD

That last topic actually broke the forum rules. And technically, you could see it breaking the law, if the flaming would have turned any worse than what it did back there.

The reason it was closed was by a 99.9% marginal due to:

3) Be respectful of other users and assume goodwill. Don't insult other users; don't troll, don't flame, don't offer up flamebait.

- It had nothing to do with the 'supposed' arguments. Freedom of expression is fine as long as it doesn't turn into flame wars, where people get insulted and accused. Nobody likes that. ^^

Well, it was likely just when the mod showed up, but the appearance was that it was closed due to Dante's statement. However megahobbit began the attack by directing a 'fuck off' and attacking the character instead of the argument via ad homimen. Not saying that Dante doesn't say a lot of questionable things, but this was at the fault of a proclaimed liberal moreso than Dante this time.

I've been reading this story and the most shocking part about it is how damn near everybody has been trying to sweep it under the rug or shut down comments on it.

I watched a video of a French guy with a CCW hold off a bunch of guys trying to attack women and other unarmed men tonight, I couldn't believe it myself.

Came in expecting an AXE commercial. Got a PR nightmare.

It feels bad saying no to desperate people, but bringing in desperate immigrants means accepting people with different values and always increases crime. If your community isn't ready for it, then no can be the right answer. People think segregation is evil, but a probationary period of it to see if you can adapt feels like a good call sometimes.

And this is why people are racist and hate immigrants and refugees. When they don't grow up 'round those parts, they sometimes fail to assimilate in an acceptable manner. Not saying we should round them all up or anything, but immigrants and refugees aren't people to let in on a whim because they have sob stories.

I came in here expecting some kind of new Japanese cologne that causes people to turn lustful. I was disappointed. And sort of appalled.

I expected a large bar fight where people were spraying each other with old spice or something. Kind of disappointed.

When you let in a ton of refugees, you never know what's mixed in with the regular populace.

It was a foregone conclusion that this would happen. It's not like the government didn't know. They probably won't do anything about it.
