vista sucks.... It keeps giving me more and more problems, tells me it is not compatable with basic programs, dose not let me have a backgroud image, lies about not being compatable with basic programs, questions all my actions, and overall dose not let me do shit with out having to kick its sorry ass first.

Vista is faster than my other computer. (Which is brand new)

Currently using XP...like to play around its system files...and there are lots of tips how to manage it more efficiently.

Vista...just the looks, some added features, the games required to play with it, and nothing more...

it also depends on how you use it, if you mess with vista you might get problems so i say vista is better, it's like a little friend that tells you whats good for you

vista of course, is superior to XP, but the fault lies with its massive hardware requirement, from what I heard, vista works more efficiently on laptops rather than on PCs

another fault of vista, a lot of programs aint compatible with it since they are so inferior to vista, and there is the incopatability with the hard ware and many more

Vista isn't too bad but I'll stick with XP for the time being.

ok yeah most VS thread are not allowed because they are pointless. Whats better a camel or digging sand in Jamaica? Who is better, goku, or DBSK? etc.

I think this one is alright but if a nother mods feels this is being too inconsistent please lock it.

i've been trying to decide if its worth getting a new os like windows vista.... is it a lot better than XP ?
i heard that Vista requires dual core or core 2 duo processors for its 32-bit system.

pls share your thoughts

I dont know about that but there is a Vista advisor you can download. It scans your PC and tells you if it can run Vista, and what Vista version would be best for your system.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradeadvisor.mspx

If you run the scan and it tells you to run Vista Basic, dont bother upgrading. Basic is just an XP with extra clutter. I know because I have Basic.

Windows XP. I have all the windows. XP, XP PRO, VISTA BASIC, VISTA Ultimate. VISTA is really bad. even on a fast PC, its bad, Way too many bugs, and many programs dont work on it yet. Dont get me wrong. I will usa Vista, not now tho. I will let Vista mature. Yes. Just like Windows XP. When it first came out, itwas also bugy and all that good stuff. After many years, XP has become extremely fast and and bug-less. We just have to wait a couple of years for VISTA to mature!

Right now tho, XP is the best choice,
