The kind you don't notice.
(like how the common cold killed the native jamaican population, a physical reaction is usually a sign your body fights back)
so stuff like HIV/AIDS, alzheimers and i think cancer(i think it's the treatment that makes people feel sick mostly)

Any ticking time bomb sort of diseases like HIV for example. It's like "Hey I'll give you 5-7 years to live, maybe longer if you decide to change your lifestyle, then I'll kill you". That feeling, I don't want to go through that.

If I were to die from a disease, I'd want something quick and clean, like a heart attack for example.

There's already a cure for AIDS/HIV.

Ofc it's downplayed, and idek why. Conspiracy-related probably.

What is this cure?

Any and all mental illnesses because while a normal illness is accepted by the general public most mental illnesses are still not well understood or accepted by a lot of people. Take depression for example. You never hear someone saying "Well if they really wanted to they could be cancer free." yet you hear all the time that if someone really wanted to be happy then they could. Mental illnesses are every bit as physical as their more accepted counterparts.

Alzheimer's, dementia and any disease that robs you of your mental capabilities are scary too.

Also, what non communicative disease makes people truly fear you or try to take away your rights?

I'm really sorry I'm on my tablet so I can't type too much but basically :

http://www.examiner.com/article/cured-of-aids-and-hiv-by-bone-marrow-transplant-with-specific-genes-for-immunity

it's kinda anime-ish in nature imho, but I have no idea why it's being suppressed or it's not common knowledge especially when like 3 people have been cured already.

I guess it's because black plague survivor descendants are rare, but if I was one of them I'd sell my bone marrow, monthly for some serious cash

I don't think that's a viable cure. Only a really small percentage of people have that genetic variation with immunity to HIV. Even fewer are bone marrow transplant donors. It was by chance that the patient got the right transplant.

There's also this part in the article:

"There's one issue with bone marrow transplants. A small percentage of bone marrow transplant patients die of complications. It's not without risk. Cancer patients getting bone marrow transplants go through radiation treatments that kill all of their bone marrow before they can do the transplant."

Dude, I mean, that's like saying "there's no cure for heart attacks" because heart surgery is really risky.

It's definitely a HUGE leap from "there's no cure for HIV/AIDS." There's now a cure, it's just... "legendary"... akin to trying to find a mystical plant in some anime mountains surrounded by wild monsters that only the strongest warriors can defeat... kind of thing.

But if there's a cure I STRONGLY BELIEVE as both a person and a scientist, that the public has the right to know lol. I mean doctors don't even /tell/ HIV/AIDS patients about it. If you had AIDS, wouldn't you want to take the risk of a bone marrow transplant?

It's a viable cure imho. There's like more than a thousand black death survivors, yes? And they can each donate their bone marrow multiple times a year. So that means, let's say, in one year, one black death survivor can save 4 people? So in 10 years, that's 40 people. Of course they should be highly compensated... and that's where medical insurance and/or wealth comes in. I guess, you know, the rich people with AIDS/HIV (like magic Johnson), they get the high-end insurance that compensates these donors, or they pay out of pocket.

tl;dr: Just because a cure is slightly rare, doesn't mean it's not a cure. I'd rather know there's a cure for my disease, rather than my doctor telling me: "no no cure."

Cancer and Alzheimers because anyone can get it and it's quite common.

Also, ebola because if you get it you're basically fucked. And people keep going abroad, picking it up and bringing it back. If I ever died of ebola I would want written on my grave "I am dead because you fucking morons insist on going abroad!"

I'd go for ebola or the plague. Also any parasite that gets into your body like tapeworm or a bacterial illness of the digestive track like salmonella. My sister got the later on a trip to Costa Rica several years ago. It took a long time to get rid of it too. Oddly enough, my mother, who was traveling with her, didn't catch it. On a side note, I recently went to Costa Rica myself, didn't come down with anything, not even Montezuma's Revenge. Guess I was lucky, but then again, I was drinking bottled water and eating at reputable restaurants.

Internal/subdermal parasites honestly grosses me out the most. Those and teratoma/necrotizing faciitis. As it comes to actually terrifying me, parasitic fungal spores. They haven't made the species jump to higher order species, but some day...

Alzheimer's/Dementia are also pretty bad.
