My main reasons for having a CR account are

1) 1080p hassle free. I don't have to worry about finding the newest episodes and whether or not it will be in 1080p or 480p or those sad people who dare upload videos in 240p. Its here and it will be HD

2) views support the devs. I can understand cutting costs and watching a show online, I did it with Rick and Morty, but I personally believe that my money should go to what I support. I love watching anime, so if it's $50 to watch it in a legal and supportive way, why not.

Every person is different, but these are my reasons

CR still a better deal if you want strictly anime. I don't feel like getting into a debate about it though.

That should go without saying, however, I was displeased to see that CR didn't have One Punch Man. I initially subscribed to Hulu solely because it held the rights to South Park but was pleasantly surprised to see it had One Punch Man as well. They do have a surprisingly decent selection of anime though, too.

You watch shows legally and forums are fun. There's so much to do and see, and you can have it for free!

You aren't the only one who's done that lol. I know a couple here subbed to Hulu for that alone. I have multiple subs to various places because they have what the other lacks and vice versa. Combine that with being fluent in Japanese and I can ensure I have all the areas covered.

Haha definitely I went as far as to pay for cable just so that I can watch Mr. Robot since it wasn't on either Netflix or Hulu >.<

I think you can purchase most current shows in websites like Itunes or Amazon for like 25 dollars per season or 3 dollars each.

Way cheaper than buying cable for just 1 show... & watching it with ads..

But I am sure it was hyperbole and you did not really buy a cable subscription to watch just 1 show..

Why 2 reasons?

It's a personal matter when it comes to cost and value. I have subscriptions with CR, Funi, Viki and Drama Fever for a combined cost of $26 a month. That's less than a dollar a day for a decent amount of Asian television programming. I'm OK with that. It's substantially cheaper to get content legitimately these days, which leads to people asking if it's worth paying the pennies they are paying. Something about free and the internet. I'm old though, so I've had the pleasure of paying through the nose for VHS tapes back when they were a thing.

If you don't find value for the cost, don't pay. It's simple enough.

Nahhh haha, I actually wanted a more conventional form of entertainment and got a Directv package that included a DVR, so I just recorded the episodes from the show as well as others I was very interested in. Finally back into College Football and the NFL as well

I think one day CR will pull off some promo where new CR accounts won't be allowed (like what some sites have done I forget which ones) and so for that period of time you'll feel l33t and might be able to sell your acct for money XD

This is the only warning, posting website names or links for sites that illegally host scanlations, fansubs, or any other illegal content really is against Cruncyroll site and forum rules. So please don't do it okay?

PS: This includes posting pictures that has those sites names or logos on the pictures. Just saying...

Question. If I was to post in an manga anticipation thread (Or w.e you call them) with content off the manga that had not been released officially yet in Japan (Just text content, no images) would this also be against CR's rules?

It depends on where you get the source material from.
If the source of the material you post has permission of the original creator to share this, it may be posted here too unless the source in question itself states that it may not be shared on other sites.

Also if the source hosts other content for which it does not have permission you may not link or refer to the source, keep in mind however that this immediately makes the information unreliable.

I hope this clears up some things.

I can't think of one let alone two, which is why I cancelled my recurring payments. There is literally nothing that I want to watch on here, one punch man looks good can't watch it here. What about gangsta nope, go somewhere else and so on.

Also before someone says I'm not supporting the anime I watch I do, I'm just not using Crunchyroll to do so as they have nothing that I want to personally watch.
