Episode 1

Active Raid...man...the show definitely seems to be one of those shows that throws out complicated planning, operations...just big freaking words at every given chance. Not a fan of those. The girls are cute though...i don't dislike the main female although she whined and bitched the entire episode. The characters were overall really good though...but yeah, complicated when it doesn't have to be. I'll continue and see if it at least turns out decent. Maybe.

So they are actually chasing perps in a train car- which can only take limited routes and go a blazing 10 mph, in a city in the future that is full of cars.
Not only that but it takes a team of 8 office people in that car to bark orders into the ears of one cop you deployed, to tell them every move they're allowed to make in pursuit of said perps?
That's gonna get annoying real fast. I recommend watching a real police anime from the era of police anime... like You're Under Arrest or Dominion Tank Police. They're ancient and clunky but better than this cheezy thing
Might watch another episode just to see if it changes its tune to some real action instead of dumb jokes and slow train cars.

Episode 2

Asami is none too pleased about the knuckleheads at the work place, especially with Rin as she sleeps a lot. And while that's happening, Rin's sister Hinata is in danger with her school under attack by a renegade Willwearer while Hinata is taken hostage. This time, Asami is deployed into action, but this time the armor is malfunctioning as Kyoukai rebooted the suit and changed the settings and she put way too much power in the kick that she destroyed a building in the process that luckily was evacuated. Well, that was a better episode than the first as Rin and Hinata get some focus all while the action is pretty funny. Still, I'm far from convinced about this show at the moment.

Episode 2

Alright this show is getting really weird and formulaic.

The whole police stuff and enforcing the laws is a serious theme but I can barely take it seriously at this stage. Hopefully, we'll get a darker story soon. Asami on the other hand is a badass in some ways when she piloted that mech.

And cute little thing:

Well, I've watched the first episode - all I can say is that Active Raid is a weird anime. I don't mean weird as in perverted (although I'm sure an argument can be made for that) or even weird as in strange. Rather this show seems like it’s being pulled in two entirely different directions.

On one hand you have the stage set for this epic power armour themed crime drama, with great care taken towards all the animation and especially the designs of each individual suit. While on the other hand the show seems obsessed with a low-brow kind of fan service, if there's a chance to put one of the characters in an awkward social situation then Active Raid will take that shot. Honestly, with all the money and obvious talent being put behind this show it just seems a complete waste to go to all that effort just for a few crass gags.

I’ve given this some thought and I’ve decided that I won’t be continuing to watch Active Raid when future episodes are released. I really wanted to like this show, I think the core concept has a lot of potential, it’s just the reality of what Active Raid actually is leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Episode 2: Two Shirleys!! They're so cute!! and Maintenance guy continues to be cute!

Hey... purple-eyes Student Council guy. Hmm. Should I ship it, or should I suspect him of something? Or both?

... huh? When has that happened? Examples? That doesn't sound like anything that's happened in either episode so far.

If anything, this show's unique point is sort of, what would happen if this sort of technology actually existed in a political structure anything like the real world (as opposed to the more typical setups in other mecha series). Which is, tons of red tape and no one's happy about it, to the point where you sort of just have to laugh.

I really don't know what people find wrong with this series. You were expecting something darker. It's clearly not that. It has a right to not be that. Get over it and enjoy it for what it is, or get over it and watch something else. It's not trying to be Psycho-Pass, and that's a good thing. The world needs some of something besides that for once.

I am trying to like this show but the story is all over the place. There is politics involved and a super computer bad guy I think? A strike unit that gets in trouble for collateral damages and mainly a lot of bureaucracy in the department. I wish the cast was a little smaller but the MC is likeable so will keep trying

Episode 2

Dropping next episode, clearly ain't going to go anywhere special (plus this has a second split cour so more reason to drop).

If I want to watch a more likely guaranteed good anime with police and mecha concept I'll watch Mobile Police Patlabor instead.

You guys want this show to be dark and edgy just because it a police genre tokusatsu show. Just sit back and relax and enjoy the light hearted comedy/action.

I thought that it was funny that she ended up fighting pop-ups but this show is very unfocused. And my God, the music is abusive. I might end up dropping it because I can't stand the OST.

Episode 2

What's with CR and it lagging right now?

That fight scene was cool and kicking a mecha through buildings was just fantastic.

Episode 2: Academy Destruction

That was pretty fun. The fight scene was actually legit (them kicks though) and gives me hope that maybe an epic fight scene will happen in the future. Not that it will but I have hope.

They said that Willwear was new right? Well it came with a lot of viruses. They better go return it. Needs adblock and probably needed to restart and update windows.

Hmm looks like a bigger antagonist was introduced. It's always the turtleneck. Probably gonna do more small cases for the next couple episodes before getting into one of the bigger cases.

So far pretty average show, nothing much really going for it for me in terms of being great. Maybe the characters, cause they seem fun but other than that, pretty chill show.

That was fun. The overflowed kick was hilarous.

The show isn't great but the characters are fun and the action is nice.

I hope the villans are more than grrr Society is evil! ..then again they even admitted to there plan being cliehed at the end! :)

Still a bit odd, but it has it's moments, like that one chick fighting the pop ups, or kicking that other guy and destroying the building in the process. Villains are introduced, but all they seem to be doing is giving suits to criminals or something like that. Thought the whole issue with the sister would be a bigger issue, but it got resolved pretty quickly. Hoping for some insight as to why or what is going on.
