Plot Summary

Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma is beset by his fear to express himself. However, he has a supernatural ability of being forced to prevent deaths and catastrophes by being sent back in time before the incident occurred, repeating time until the accident is prevented. One day, he gets involved in an accident that has him framed as a murderer. Desperate to save the victim, he sends himself back in time only to find himself as a grade-schooler one month before fellow classmate Kayo Hinazuki went missing. Satoru now embarks on a new quest: to save Kayo and solve the mystery behind her disappearance.

By License... Does Funi only have streaming while AoA has Distributing.
Or does Funi have both?

Wasn't it supposed to be streamed here on CR today in like a couple of hours?
Was there a last minute take off?

Funi only has streaming rights. Aniplex has the home video distribution rights. They are trying to get as much exposure as possible, so they are starting to use Funi as another place to watch this. This show will stream today, and it's usually the case with first episodes on CR that there isn't a countdown timer. But if you refresh at the appointed time, it will be there. For today, it begins at 10:20am Pacific.

Possible AOTY of the year or at least a top contender for this season.

The first episode was pretty damn good especially second half but have to follow carefully to get the main premise of it.

Episode 1

Wow! I'm just at a loss of words of what just happened there with Sachiko getting murdered, and that sleazeball in a suit got Satoru framed for her murder. And now, he's way back in time to put the pieces together. That was such a great way to start this show seeing that he has an unusual power to save guys who had died by going into the past. That was totally surreal what I just witnessed in the way it all happened.

Watched it again on CR. That was perfect from start to finish. Yes, it'll take some time to understand the story better especially with Satour's background but the way it was directed got everything what I had expected.

The show combines elements of thriller, mystery, and explores the darker side of resolving conflicts with second chances. What a great episode. Noitamina knows how to entertain the audience.

Episode 1

That revival, though!

Okay, so this was a good start. Not only does the episode introduce characters, but it also explains the "Revival" phenomena a little bit. The end scene got me and it looks like we are going to have one heck of a thriller with this one!

Ready for more!

Definitely the best of the season at the moment, no doubt. This first episode promises a pretty solid thriller.

Episode 1

Most promising start of this season.

This being only show this season that looks likely to be good I hope it doesn't fall short and end up being mediocre.

Otherwise great episode,ED was great as well.

Already see this being ATOS and not just cause everything else from this season looks like utter shit but because this genuinely looks good and AOTS worthy.

Wow great first episode just watched it twice because unless you watch super close you miss couple things. Fresh story and cool mom I think this show has a lot of promise? Don't want to be spoiler so done

Well, that's what Japanese people get for always leaving their doors unlocked.

I've never liked the typical scene where a neighbour or friend walks in on somebody inspecting a corpse, which obviously means that that person must be the killer. Also the cops arrived in record time, that's some service for you.

That was a great first episode, and very promising!

You could feel the MC has given up all hope in his life with his mannerisms and nearly-monotonic voice, and it's not hard to see why - he's an adult who couldn't pursue his dreams, and his ability no doubt is taxing on the mind.

Blue butterflies always appear before a revival, which did remind me of Sakurako heh.

The butterfly effect movie comes to mind now that he's gone back that far - what will attempting to save that girl do to his life?

Execution was good, and I want more.
