All the people saying it's good makes me hesitant of watching the first episode. I hate waiting

feels like this will be the best anime of this particular season. Unless there is some sleeper that comes out of nowhere.

Just finished episode 1. Very much looking forward to this.

AOTS right here.
Calling it.

My favorite premiere this season, and while that wasn't hard to top since it only competed with Prince of Stride and Myriad of Colors, still is pretty legit. I am so looking forward to watching this story progress.

That was a pretty good episode, i am really looking forth to how the show develops. So far he has not really traveled back to the present, but based on the characters they introduced being pretty much all in the present, i would guess he is going to travel between present and past.

Now starts the game of figuring out who the culprit is. Im guessing he will make some kind of subtle appearance next episode, since we know the mom recognized him from the past and he seemed to know about the kids and their lives, at least enough to be able to frame someone else.

I had just watched Prince of Stride episode 1 before this and thought the bar had been set fairly high (loved it) but then this..... That's how you do an opening episode, I'm confident enough in saying this is AOTY material, lets hope it stays this good ehh?

You're probably spot on in that assumption. Im not sure he will travel to the present so much as meet some of the characters from the present in the past. It seems like his revelation power only pushes him to the past and doesn't push him back forward to the future so he quite literally would have to relive all those years to become a 29 year old again.

Of course seeing as he only jumped back twice prior to going back all the way in this episode i dont know if this will be true or not. We will have to see.

the feelings I got while watching this episode... haven't felt like this since the first arc of Higurashi. My scalp was tingling with the uncanny-ness!

Oh my gosh I am so giddy about this, can't wait until next week!

So, i was thinking along these lines as well originally, but i think the co-worker will be important to the story, and she is still in high school and is like at most 17. He travels 18 years to the past, which would mean she does not exist, or if she does, she would be like 1 year old, making her not really relevant to the story.

Also, We know he got some kind of information out of the piece of paper his mom left behind, and he didnt get a chance to use the information before he went back in time. So my guess is he will spend most of his time in the past, but will still be living in the present at the same time. Dont know if it will be that his body passes out or time simply freezes while he is in the past. Working in the past is what would give him the biggest advantage to save everyone, the girl he blames himself for allowing to die, the other kids and saving his mom.

That was a great first episode, and very promising!

You could feel the MC has given up all hope in his life with his mannerisms and nearly-monotonic voice, and it's not hard to see why - he's an adult who couldn't pursue his dreams, and his ability no doubt is taxing on the mind.

Blue butterflies always appear before a revival, which did remind me of Sakurako heh.

The butterfly effect movie comes to mind now that he's gone back that far - what will attempting to save that girl do to his life?

Execution was good, and I want more.

He needs to find Sakurako and get her help!

Most interesting start of the season so far. Sort of saw the mom's fate coming (she reminded me of one of the Haikyuu girls). I love the anxious atmosphere of the show. Looking forward to next week.

I do wonder if this will have time jumps or he'll mostly stay in the past for the time being. I'm guessing that the past abductions ties in to culprit at the end.
