I played up to Assassins Creed 3 and absolutely loved it, but black flag and forward they seemed to deteriorate.
I haven't played Syndicate yet, but I've heard it's better than the previous games. Any opinions?

Black Flag was awesome overall; Rogue´s Gameplay was basically the same with a few improvments.

Well, and Syndicate is just as boring and shitty as Unity.. Po'd that piece of garbage and still haven't finished the story <.<

I've played all of the main Assassin's Creed games, including Liberation (when it was on Vita) and their side scrolling one. I haven't finished Syndicate and I never finished Rogue though.

The thing that is keeping me from completing Syndicate is that I really want to use a sword (not one of those cane things). I actually like Unity and thought it was a great game to play (and yes, I was on PC). III was horrible while IV was quite fun. I can't finish Rogue because it feels too clunky after playing Unity. The first game I remember through nostalgia glasses. II was fun (completed it twice). Brotherhood was good, but Revelations felt like a drag. Liberation was way too clunky on the Vita (and its use of the camera made me want to rip my hair out).

I also own a hoodie from Ubisoft's online store that is Assassin's Creed themed. I wear it to work often. So I'd say I'm a fan, but I will definitely be happy to point out its faults.

Black Flag is the only one I liked, mostly cause it was the least like Assassin's Creed thanks to pirate stuff. Other than that the plot is garbage and the core mechanics are terrible and seriously over done at this point, but it's an annualized series so that shouldn't be surprising.

I think maybe AC 2 was better themed and worked better overall (stealth to open and dropping attacks from angles)
AC 3 for maybe MP?
Black flag for just some fun (really cool what they did, but was usless theme for anything on land?)
Really much work put into the models and all the parts of the ships, but gameplay was reduced in most things and becomes something like battlefront 3 as in stupid fun (where its palying around with stupid things that in most cases that got nothing much to do or anything of the sort cind of like a clicker but with a little more "effort")

That's what killed the series for me --- Assassin's Creed III

I couldn't stand Connor as a protagonist. I bought the limited edition of the game on release, played a few hours and dropped it. Just recently I tried playing it again to see if I would end up liking it but nope. Back to the shelf.

A good friend of mine has highly recommended Syndicate and he has the same views I do about AC3 (in his words "the less said about AC3 the better") so I will look into getting Syndicate later on.

I love pretty much all of the AC games equally, and see no real difference, but apparently a lot of people can't agree on which game is the worst/best.

Anyways, I like Black Flag so far, but I haven't gotten very far into it...

well they have different themes, weapons, stealth (some removed some added) story, characters.
I overall loved italia and leonardo.
+ the overall art, style and how NPC's made the world and how I really loved to explore new sites.
