i guess the only downside is that you really don't know if someone likes you based on your individuality and depth or personal aesthetics. and more unwanted attention

Idk I'm butt ass ugly so I can't relate
But I would say being hit on a lot
Being called stuck up if you deny someone's feelings
Some other things I can't relate to

Aside from saying I wouldn't know, I think everybody else said the essentials before me.

If I'm going off of personal experience in the past then the only downside is the stupid behavior from others.

I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities; I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise; but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them - that I'm on a level that they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people.

If they do not intend to use you, they intend to abuse you.

It's bloody cold out and I'm too sexy for my shirt.

More seriously, if I remember right I read a study some time ago that found (men, in particular) have a harder time getting promoted if they're considered too attractive, as their superior sees them as more of a threat.

you have to keep up that constant appearance as well as have a high charisma and hopefully no one sees you on an off day

Constant unwanted attention, assumptions that one is unintelligent, envy from others, and the risk of falling victim to vanity and narcissism all spring to mind.

^ This.

Going to add that you catch all the crazies too. Remember, folks, never stick your dick in crazy.

yeah actually there are downside. For example part of being attractive is dressing well, keeping your body in shape, and ...well.... grooming i.e having hair done nicely etc. these are downsides because people consider you attractive so they expect these things from you ALL the time. and as soon as your hair is a mess, or your body isn't bangin, or you're looking grubby cause you feel lazy people seriously treat you different, almost poorly. So it's like the second you change (for the worse) lots of people turn two face on ya.

and lets be real here, people treat you better when you're considered good looking and you get used to that treatment. you almost expect if we are being honest here. so as a result you notice when that treatment goes away if you stop looking as good for whatever reason. so then you feel compelled to always look good to get preferential treatment. it's a sad/sick cycle really

I never considered any of these things a burden. I mean isn't common sense to want to stay in good shape and isn't personal grooming simply a given?

At this point, yes.. i try to exercise and maintain excellent hygiene but I can'r really say for those earlier on.
