I prefer anime to manga. I only read like one or two manga, but watch a ton more anime. Sometimes I'll try to read one if an anime I like got cancelled and the manga is ongoing, but I just can't get into manga that often.

Sounds like me. The manga I read are for shows I really, really like and not in anime production now. Also there is the cost factor too.

I read manga. Most of the good ones don't make it to the screen so I'd be missing out on a lot if I didn't.

I read SOME manga, it just depends on what it is though. All I can say is that I like physical copies, so it has to be something worth spending money on.

When I watch the anime of something and I want more, I try to read the manga. But it's kind of disappointing to go from something colorful, with sound effects and motion etc to something black and white with untranslated sound effects.

I try to read manga when I have time. Sometimes I'm very busy with simulcasts or other anime I've started, but I will make time for some reading, it always freshens me up

Manga was one of the mediums that got me into anime. I used to read a lot of manga before watching anime, but many of those mangas were not finished and when I got to the last chapter, I would've to wait for a long time for new material... When a new chapter came out, I would eventually forget some important details/facts about the story.

A vicious cycle, I would reread the entire manga until reaching the final chapter and wait for a new one and so on... that's why I prefer anime simulcast, as it is weekly and sometimes it has some small recaps at the start.

Perhaps I would start some completed manga sometime, however I really don't like the feeling of reading something that has already concluded.
