Episode 4

I actually... don't like the Bubuki duels.
Why wait until NOW to introduce that gimmick?

I'm glad Kogane won but this episode left me feeling super frustrated.

I do have to agree with this. It really does feel like they just threw all of the anime tropes into a hat and decided to pull a few out each episode so far.

Hmm. How long until the inevitable Butt and Cannon?

Perhaps the butt armor is where Treasure Island is :x

Next episode prediction: Reoko dies and it becomes a locked room murder mystery.

Episode 5

Weird episode. The fight had a lot of weird vibe to it imo involving Kinoa. I thought her past was rather strange as well but at least she was able to get some payback. The conclusion of the fight felt cheesy though imo.

And that plot twist...damn. I kinda liked Horino....too bad. Now it's going to be another one of those Buranki duels. Is this show ever going to slow down on the action? lol

Betrayal and lies...

Episode was decent; looking forward to seeing how they will finish off the other chick that tricked them!

Episode 5

Geez. All the grown men in this show are disgusting.
Horino's betrayal wasn't surprising. But it's unfortunate.

I don't like how this has become "Bubuki battle of the week" but I'll stick around for Hiiragi's fight.

The plot probably makes more sense with some pot...

Well, I enjoyed the episode. The show has fallen into a sort of formulaic shounen plot with the bubuki battles, but I can deal with that. It's reminiscent of shows like Ronin Warriors and Saint Seiya where each person in the main group (all have five people) fight a bad guy. The nostalgia is strong with this series, which is impressive for a cg show. It's like 80s shounen meets 80s mech (e.g., Voltron).

Actually didn't see the betrayal coming. Didn't expect the mentor figure to be a bad guy. But it's interesting that she seems to have an Alice in Wonderland/White Rabbit theme.

I like this eps better than the last ones The backgrounds we really nice. Still a pretty formulaic plot but enjoyable.

I think I like the villains a bit more that the heroes right now.. Just a bit.

All the men in this show are pedophiles/lolicons.

Fark that.

What a jerk to take advantage of such a young kid. And she saved his life too.

Still her younger ego will probably be turned into a figure for merchandising purposes.

Episode 5: Swords and Rings

I thought it was a pretty chill episode. Focusing more on back story but damn that guy was a huge creep. Like pedophile status. Couldn't deal with him.

I wonder why the Oubu limbs were passed down to the next generation. That has me most curious. Considering that all of them are young, there has to be a reason the limbs were passed down.

Honestly didn't see the betrayal either. I thought the blonde lady form the opening was someone else probably a sister of sorts or just someone that looked a little similar to her.

Anyways looking forward to the next Bubuki battle

The odd thing about the battles, possible series total logic fault... is that it is really over for the bad guys already isn't it? The whole point of the battles is to get replacement limbs but since they've lost two battles so far they aren't getting arms unless the heart battles ends up being some cop-out winner takes all battle or something. I have a feeling I shouldn't be thinking too hard about this series... just enjoy the ride! OK...

Not sure why the Entei needs arms and legs anyway. It seems to beat the crap out of Oubu even without them, just floating around.
