Plot Summary

In L.C. 922, people faced a sudden crisis.
In Tetra Heaven, the land of legend, a hundred years of war had come to a close. The gods who lost the war searched for a new place to live, and found it in Septpia, the human world, which they proceeded to attack. The Logicalists attached to ALCA, a special police agency whose duty it was to protect cities from assaults by foreigners (angels), were compelled to act in defense of cities, whether they wished to or not.

And depending on their ability, Logicalists could initiate trance with goddesses from the other world, and stand a fighting chance on the battlefield.

A civilian named Yoshichika Tsurugi, who lacked "Logic" and lived happily with his family, was caught up in an attack, and took shelter along with many people. He meets a beautiful goddess named Athena. In her hands, she had the "Logic" that Yoshichika lacked. Now both Yoshichika and Athena head to their destiny.

And it's time to start off Saturdays with this show.

Episode 1

The city is a dangerous place as monsters called Majins can show up anytime, anywhere. First it's a dog, and then it's a bull that creates havoc. Kids are being recruited by ALCA for their Logic powers, and Yoshichika is one such guy. Of course, given his heart that he accepts Athena's offer to form a covenant with her to be her Logicalist. With his power, he takes out that bull and joins ALCA, and starts off things off with a nap. Seeing that this show is meant to market an upcoming card game that it was what I was expecting. Not bad so far, and I'll stick with it for a little while at least.

Episode 1

Another confusing episode but it has some potential. I mean, ALCA's Athena is mysterious enough and so far the monsters, logic, etc. Apparently, Logicalists are rare in their world so all of them are highly sought out.

Action was okay, better than I thought.

Um, I'm not really sure what else to say. I mean, it's based on a card game that no one played before so...

This first episode was... entertaining if nothing else. I think they tried a little bit to hard with the fourth wall break self referential dialogue but over all I didn't hate it :/. I'll give it a couple more episodes but I think this is one I plan on dropping.

Pretty typical but I actually liked the 4th wall breaking and sly commentary. I think that's what saved this first episode for me. Unlike most series like this, it had a humour and self deprecating tone. I don't know if I'll stick around for the whole season but it was better than I was expecting it to be.

It's tropetastic and cheesy as I'll get out but I liked it anyway! Not sure I'll be in for the long haul but I'll definitely check it out next week.

So far at least they aren't pushing the card game itself too hard which is good. PSO2 the animation felt like a commercial for the game, "as the VP you have to play PSO2"... OK....

Well that was interesting really. Not an awful lot of clumsy exposition if any. We're mostly given any explanations on the go and left to figure the rest out. Plus it's not afraid of leaving us in the dark on some bits.

IE regarding MC he's clearly been doing this before. but what happened to the old covenant ? Action was alright. Characters alright so far. Dirty dad :p Imouto who looks to deceased mother as a sort of beacon i guess.

So yeah. Not too bad. Nothing huge. but. Definately watchable and actually a bit interesting.

I'm not sure if they're going for battle harem or if they're going to subvert that with this one. They were sort of acknowledging various tropes and raising various flags for a non-standard ending.

I do like the feeling that he's someone coming back from a forced retirement from something he truly enjoyed. Sort of sad that he'll loose it again since this is one of those 'no adults allowed' powers.
Think it would have been better to have another guy on the team so it wasn't just him showing up and outdoing all the girls at once while sleep deprived.

I like the world dynamics and and things that draw from mythology always interest me. I'll probably stick around for another episode or so to see if they go down boring battle harem route or if they decide to do something interesting.

So... anyone else think the character was a bit of a narcissist for pulling an all-nighter apparently just to watch videos and read comments about his own hero days? For a little while I almost thought they were setting him up as a flawed protagonist, as someone who's more concerned with the glory of playing hero rather than someone who acts according to the gravity of the situation.

But yeah, I don't think the show is that deep. The parts that made me almost think that are probably just the show over-characterizing how much he is supposed to like helping people. Not that it can't be entertaining as that simple type of show.

Random aside, I wonder what happened to his old covenanter. I assume that will come up later.

I like the idea of him being an old pro re-entering the field. Makes a certain amount of sense that Athena would seek him out.

It looked like his original Covenant was with one of the Indian Gods, one that seemed to have a very different focus compaired to Athena, so while he may be an experienced fighter he is likely dealing whith a whole new set of abilities.

As for the new girl with the Braid, My guess is she will be inheriting Nemesis from their commander.

Not bad to start with. see how it'll go over the next few episodes

Not a bad start, was actually fairly entertaining. Was not expecting the whole kissing thing during the transforming sequence, I mean it was definitely set up to happen that way but I wasn't expecting them to actually do it. Anywho I'll keep going with this one. There's quite a bit of potential and I'm looking forward to the full backstory.
