I enjoyed this one, seems to have some mythology thrown in there, which I always enjoy seeing. Does seem like it'll have those comedy moments and whatnot, especially since he's going to be living with his Covenanter. Wasn't too much going on in the action scenes, but I guess they'll get more intense as bigger threats show up. I like how they explained things as they went, still have some questions, but they'll probably be answered as the show continues.

I was wondering about that too. My guess is it might have something to do with the reason the "Over Trance" they mentioned is prohibited.

You've activated.... my TRAP CARD!

Not too bad I suppose. Seeing as it's based off a card game I can see some of the.... logic..... behind how things work.

During the first fight I got a heavy sense of deja vu to Basara's demon mode. Then a Valkyrie Drive deja vu assuming they all kiss before "driving" as most pairs seem to be same gender.

It's tropetastic and cheesy as I'll get out but I liked it anyway! Not sure I'll be in for the long haul but I'll definitely check it out next week.

All true. But I do like, as another poster pointed out, that they didn't spend a lot of time on exposition - they mostly showed us rather than told us.

Episode 1

Are you lucky enough to have logic?

Definitely an interesting start. Judging by the character interactions, it seems there is much we have yet to know in order to clear up some confusion, which i'm sure will be explained!

The series has potential, so looking forward to more!

Episode 1 was fairly interesting, if not a bit confusing. But a lot of first episodes are like that.

I do like the looks of it though and will continue watching.

Interesting enough start, pretty decent setup without resorting to info-dumps. Seems the group now has a tank in their roster of swordswoman, healer, and sniper. Seems new girl will be some sort of paladiny hybrid? Kind of surprising how light on fan-service it is with as many female characters are crammed around protag-kun.

Episode 2

New ALCA members are having a trial in the form of a multiple choice exam. Everybody passes, except for Chloe who knows almost nothing. And then there is Olga, who's a Logicalist, yet he isn't. As it turns out, he has no covenanter and is waiting for the opportunity to make a pact with the ultimate covenanter. And now, Yoshichika has just been appointed the leader. So after everything that happened in the first episode, it figures that it would try to introduce the comrades and explain stuff that's going on in this Logicalist business.

Episode 2

The director of ACLA has a weird look imo. So some of the mechanics of the show also follows a bit of knowledge testing. I kind felt bad for Chloe after getting a bunch of answers wrong

Shiori's dad is such a playboy LOL. Action was okay but I'm not not impressed by the story at all right now. Comedy is kinda funny I guess. Venus also obviously has a thing for Yoshichika. Olga is probably my favorite character from this show so far and seems to know quite a bit about Logics yet does not yet have a Covenant. (makes me wonder what the strongest Covenant is in this series). Idk how I feel about the MC becoming the new team leader...

Episode 2

Team leader status!!

We did get SOME progression with this and the info dump by taking something like an exam was an interesting way to go about it. I'll stick around to see where this goes...also, I want my own angel. <3

Ready for more!

Well we're essentially introduced to the rest of the crew here. The prim and proper Team leader with the anything but prim and proper goddess to work together with. The brawn, and the quiet sniper type. We also get Olga who is good at fortune-telling. But that's it. He's got no covenant. But due to people hiding it from the MC he gets all paranoid about it until he finds out what is going on.

We also learn a bit more about the job and the world. And about him. Who clearly made an impact back in hong kong.

In the end he gets made the new team leader as he does seem to display better leadership skills.

Let's see what happens next.

I was amused by the trolling regarding Olga in this episode, less so by the heavy-handed exposition in the beginning with the quiz and such.

The whole thing with Olga got me good. The whole episode I was annoyed that they kept hiding something from the MC, only to find out that they were hiding the fact that Olga has no Covenant or Trance time. Enjoying this series so far. Athena is my favorite Goddess at the moment though.

When Japanese writers make surnames in English, do they just get any two random English words, put them together and call it a day? "Breakchild" isn't even a badass surname. It's just stupidly ridiculous. Although, if your surname just so happens to be Breakchild, I apologise...

Also, I think an anime has only once before made me have to stop and take a second to get myself together. I mean, Mana's "poetry" was powerful stuff. It almost brought a tear to my eye. I think I've found my favourite character.

So... anyone else think the character was a bit of a narcissist for pulling an all-nighter apparently just to watch videos and read comments about his own hero days? For a little while I almost thought they were setting him up as a flawed protagonist, as someone who's more concerned with the glory of playing hero rather than someone who acts according to the gravity of the situation.

But yeah, I don't think the show is that deep. The parts that made me almost think that are probably just the show over-characterizing how much he is supposed to like helping people. Not that it can't be entertaining as that simple type of show.

Random aside, I wonder what happened to his old covenanter. I assume that will come up later.

Yep, thought this might be an interesting take on its genre like WIXOSS was, but nope, it's playing itself straight far too much.
