Relationships sound like too much work anyways. So just the same things I already want to do.

I don't need no man or woman to be happy. :3

I'd live as i do now, a significant other is someone in which you would share your life with. Passions, experiences, emotions etc
They are not however someone that defines your life.
Single or not, you just continue to do what feels right for you. Work, hobbies, friends, watching anime forever.
After been in a few relationships they are wonderful experiences, they often change and shape you into something a little different every time.
However you can do this yourself through following your desires, no matter how big or little and sharing it with the people around you, (or everyone else on crunchyroll as we all share at least share one passion together and strive towards being happy)

That's just my take on it anyway.. I might be a tad bit philosophical

I would spend my days travelling the world with my camera. Pretty much what I'm doing now.

Honestly I think I'd be a bit lonely, probably compensate for the loss with developing closer friendships. Other than that it wouldn't really change my current plans for my life.

Actually remaining single is the plan for me. I've got too many problems/ personality flaws that remind me that some people aren't the type for marriage and family while others shouldn't even be in relationships. I'm ok with this. It might get harder as I get older but I won't be alone. Single does not equal lonely.

A lot of people are assume they'll have a lot more money if they're alone. Having a partner to help shoulder expenses and duties can save you a lot money. That's so even if you're not married, receiving tax breaks, and pooling money. Getting married early in life has been compared to winning a state lotto. Vsauce has an interesting video on love in monetary value. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf7Uo6nqaIg

And now since I've crushed some hopes of consolation and derailed enough...
I would probably be less selfish if I didn't have a partner for long enough. I'd probably try to find a friend to live with and get along well to hopefully net a low stress environment and cut costs.
I would use my extra time to:
-support my friends given no partner
-independent study as I'm not a fan of the collegiate system any more than necessary
-follow my geeky hobbies
-maybe write a book some day
-fight the emotional drain of being around others and do some charity work

If I was destined with being single forever, I would probably spend my extra money building a lab. I would take on engineering projects as a hobby to pass the time. Of course I would still continue my gaming hobby as well. I may even go back to university to pursue more degrees.

So, what about you guys?

Hey, that's pretty cool. What field of engineering are you interested in?

I already know I'm going to be a spinster lol XD. I've got plenty of places I'm planning on visiting in the future, both near and far Also, I'm currently learning digital art and plan to continue with that. I'm practicing with photoshop right now and later I'll learn how to use paint tool sai and sketchup. I think when I get older, I'll do more traditional painting like acrylics and oil paint. I'd also love to fill more of my sketchbooks XD

I almost certainly will be single for my entire life. I'm someone who actually believes that certain people are "destined" to remain single, as i don't think romantic relationships are necessary on an individual level

That being said, it doesn't really bother me. Rather than using my income to support a spouse, I plan to help out my parents with it. Perhaps even go traveling with them.

Not that they can't support themselves, but i'll make it easier for them. I owe them that much at least anyway.

It would actually be really inconvenient if I found a significant other who wanted to immediately start living together and whatnot. Right now, I feel like my duty is to my family which has supported me so well through the years.

I can't exactly speak for everyone, but parents by choice aren't looking for what they get out of it. It's a selfless hope and contribution to the future. Choosing to have a child is a creation of love and all one hopes from it is for their success and to be loved back. It's great you want to help your parents, but don't do it out of any feelings of debt.
