How do you feel about Funimation currently airing dubs or not?

There are some that are OK. Others are good. Some are amazing. Then there are some that are Jarring when I compared to the Japanese version.

95% of what I watch on Funimation is Japanese with subs. I do check out dubs occasionally, but it's never the same for me as the original.

Usually whatever I watch first is what I get used to.

Sometimes I'll try a series on both voice tracks, but it's usually too jarring to flip flop from one to the next so close to each other. I'll try to wait a while, if I decide I want to watch a series.

I will say, I am much more inclined to try an English dub of a series after watching it subbed than finding a sub after watching it dubbed in English. Or at least that's how I think I do it.

I watch both sub and dub. Personally, I like the English dubs because it makes it easier for me to find something to watch with my kids. My youngest is just learning to read so still has to sound out words (so subs are no good) and my oldest, while she has watched subs on Crunchyroll prefers the dubs because on some shows the subs go by a little fast for her. Without the dubs, they wouldn't have been able to enjoy as many shows as they have and probably wouldn't even be into anime. They definitely wouldn't have watched so much Fairy Tail without them!

From just watching their dub preview of Heavy Object on Funimation's Youtube channel, I gotta say it's pretty dang impressive and on point.

Dubs, subs, whichever man.

I'm cool with dubs, just so we theoretically have options as fans. Hell, there's some English VA's I actually like.

Overall, I'd say their broadcast dubs have been going pretty well for them. Of what I watched, only Yona and Prison School ended up with a downright awful dub; the former because of the mis-casts and the latter because of the directing and awful adaptive script.

At their best, FUNi makes outstanding dubs that make anime accessible to a new audience. At their worst, you get a localization polluted with memes.

I've only liked a few dubs. Funi used to make some good dubs, but after the mess that was Free!, Prison School and their shit memesubs I refuse to pay for their products or even look at them.

For me the dub vs. sub debate is something I can only take sides on with specific cases. For example I prefer D-Frag! dubbed, Death Parade subbed, and I can watch Durarara! dubbed or subbed, so it really just comes down to a case by case ruling for me. I would just like to say that I wish Funimation would just hurry up and dub Dragonball Super already.

Yona dub has me annoy in a bad way. Even mad because it make no sense to me.
She clearly only say the guy name but that somehow got turn into. You came. How does somebody name get turn into you came?
But I can live with a rewriting script. Even if they are saying things that are no obviously being say in the Japanese version. What appalled me was the voices. Yona voice and leg guy. I feel like when he should sound threatening, instead he sound like he repeating something he reading.
