I like eBay more. Also, I can recommend you to use Aliexpress. There is a great blog at https://www.findpare.com/blog-category/aliexpress-blog where you can find a lot of useful information for you and great offers as well

Which is best? Which do you prefer and why? Which has the lowest prices? What is the greatest deal you've found with each? Is there a better alternative?

Entirely depends on what one is looking for - for rare items, you simply will not find certain items on Amazon, period.

Amazon is "ok" for commercially available mass produced crap...but its got to be a standard run of the mill item, by and large.

For rare items, you will usually get gouged wherever you go, unless you happen to have some old granny shove her record collection at you for cheap. (i.e. the seller has no idea what they have in their hands)

I prefer ebay, I can't count the amount of times Amazon has screwed up my order, or even delivered it to the wrong fucking address. Or the amount of broken shit that has arrived to my place broken in the damn box.

Fuck Amazon and fuck the idiots who use it.

for new products and avoid fakes.. buy direct from Amazon.com and not a feature merchants

for repair parts for products that no longer in warranty use ebay

note- don't expect NEW products from ebay.. since these guys' definition of NEW is took it from some used phone and listed it as NEW kind of thing

keep your your email and screenshot of the original listing since when they do that you don't have to pay for anything

NEW is NEW- factory sealed + never been used type of new.. not some parts from a used product

Ebay is more for fun and buying old/weird/rare stuff, and Amazon is for buying stuff you need new and perfect.

Amazon, or Ebay: that is the question:
Whether Amazon nobler in the mind to suffer
The Ebay of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Amazon against a sea of Ebay,
And by opposing end them? To Amazon: to Ebay;
No more; and by an Amazon to say we Ebay
The Amazon and the thousand natural Ebays
That Amazon is heir to, ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To Amazon, to Ebay;
To Amazon: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the Ebay;
For in that Amazon of death what Ebay may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal Amazon,
Must give us Ebay: there’s the respect
That makes Amazon of so long Ebay;
For who would bear the Amazon and Ebay of time,
The Ebay man's wrong, the Amazon man’s contumely,
The pangs of despised Amazon, the law’s Ebay,
The insolence of Amazon and the Ebay
That patient Amazon of the unworthy takes,
When he Amazon might its quietus make
With a bare Ebay? who would Amazon bear,
To grunt and sweat under an Ebay life,
But that the dread of something after Amazon,
The undiscover’d Ebay from whose bourn
No Amazon returns, puzzles the Ebay
And makes Amazon rather bear those ills Ebay has
Than fly to Amazon that we know not of?
Thus Ebay does make Amazon of us all;
And thus the native Ebay of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of Amazon,
And enterprises of great Ebay and Amazon
With this regard Ebay currents turn awry,
And lose the name of Ebay.–Amazon you now!
The fair Amazon! Ebay, in thy orisons
Be all my Amazon remember’d.

EBAY!!!!! Amazon can be pretty terrible, stock photos of one product somewhat different than you ordered. Ebay does have scammers but you can weed them out by looking at the details before you buy (feedback, number of stars, the year they joined ebay, and number of stars for the buyers giving positive feedback are not too low).

I still use both but I've gotten a lot of wrong orders from Amazon. Ebay has more listings that actually show you the exact product while Amazon shows you a generic stock photo that may or may not be accurate. I do still use both though because I price compare and they tend to have things the other doesn't but my experience with Ebay has been much better and if the price difference isn't too great I'll buy from Ebay because a few extra bucks is worth trusting the merchants.

I do love Amazon as a review site though, I go to the amazon products page for the reviews a lot because they are the best I've found on the internet for rating quality and user experience of the items.

Amazon. Experience has taught me not to trust people on Ebay.
