The more I look around, the more I see people in their 20s. There are, of course, 17, 18, 19-yr-olds, so that puts most users in the 90s era. Yes, many people are in their 30s and 40s, but they aren't the majority.

So, is CR primarily for the 90s child? Or do you think it has potential for a broader audience (outside of pure otaku land, I mean)?
(Edit: Yes, sort of silly question, but I just wanted to start a discussion on the topic of 90s child and CR, so fire away.)

CR is for everyone. I think it's just that 20-somethings are most active on the forums. People over 30 did not really grow up with the internet, at least like it is now. They are probably less likely to use forums. I am older and only use the the internet this way because I'm a dork. Most of my peers would not bother posting on a forum.

Interesting... I've vaguely noticed this as well, but I might just be biased to take note of people of similar age.

Could be that our age group is just the most visible (as in, most likely to post).

Could also be that we're the most populous. If that's so, then I really do wonder why that might be the case.... Maybe it has something to do with living through the transition from television broadcasts and physical purchases to streaming? 'Shrugs'

Would be interesting to see if there was some more comprehensive demographic information about CR users and anime fans in general

I guess so. Never really looked at it that way.

CR is for everyone!!! I don't think that this site was created just for the 90s kids or the 80s kids. It was created for everyone who likes anime. I met people of all ages here. So it doesn't matter what your age is cause your always welcome here!

Until probably 15 years ago it was hard to find Anime, so those my age (33) and above had to seek it out to become fans. Though the internet was there, we couldn't download or stream a show - all we could do was talk about how much we wanted to see it in a chat room!
