US and Canada... What a joke, what about the rest of the world? I guess this still means CR will attend no conventions outside the us like every other year

We also frequently attend cons in other countries we have local staff in. We've had booths at cons in France, Brazil, Spain, and Germany in the past couple of months. Of course I can't spill specific plans for other countries, but it's always possible that we'll show up in other countries, too. Even if we can't come to a con with a booth, con organizers are free to contact us about getting support from us, such as screening of titles available in their region.

To be sure I've worked at other Con booths for less.

If I already have a premium membership, do I get discount at renewal?

Physical badge or one of the e-badges?

Pretty nifty opportunity, especially if you are good at networking. Gives you the ability to talk to other vendors as a peer and not just some random from the crowd. It's crossing that initial hurdle which is important in exploring what career choices are available in the industry, if that is something anyone here is actually seriously considering. Even a referral, or a tip on what job openings might be available before the general public knows. Something to let you get your foot in the door.

It's how I got started with Crunchyroll ~

It truly is remarkable how as an industry such opportunities still present themselves, as you shared. If you don't mind me asking, did this process change your perspective on anime during the transition from being a consumer of it to being on the leading edge of a growing market and culture?

They would have to pay decent for this to be worth it. No travel, hotel or food expenses included. Sounds fun for sure...I just couldn't see going if you end up spending more than you make.

I think it's more of like a paid internship kind of deal. Like you'll make money and spend money but they cover your badge cost. And if you only work a few hours then you can go and enjoy the con afterwards. So if you were already planning to go to a con why not try doing it like this. You get work exp, They pay for your badge, you get work for a great company, and possible future job refs. It's a good opportunity. I don't think anyone should go into this thinking they are going to make a lot of money. It's all an call-in/part time gig. It's also great networking.

This would be awesome to be able to help one of these, My only concern is having to work the whole event and not getting to enjoy the con at all.....

Can we sign up as to being interest, but decline any job offers that come up to help work??

Would love to pursue this, but wouldn't want to scare away potential visitors. . .

*My God, did you see the creepy old guy at the CR booth?!
*See him? I called Security!

Totally applied. I live in Texas and there are a whole lotta conventions! I can only afford to go to a few on my own, so maybe this'll be a step forward!

I hope maybe I can network with the Crunchyroll people and get in on some roomshares. XD

Just asking, just to be sure, under the cosplay section you mention it has to be from a CR brand, does that just simply mean a series that appears on CR in some capacity? Like say One Punch Man cosplay isn't ok, but something like Parasyte or Mr. Osomatsu would be fine?

And does the CR branding also apply to the manga titles as well? So someone could do a Seven Deadly Sins or Ajin cosplay even though their anime are exclusive to Netflix outside of Japan, because those series are part of CR Manga?

it looks like attending the convention sent to you is optional, based on your personal availability

and most likely if you already pay for the premium membership, you can push back the date of your renewal by 90 days instead of a discount, at least i was able to when i won a 90 membership from a contest

a good opportunity to build working relationships with the CR staff. I do wish people could get paid since it is a "job" somewhat even if its for a weekend. maybe in the future this program can be cultivated to that point.
