Well i thought that was a pretty funny first episode. Had me laughing repeatedly. Both main characters aren't exactly saints. In fact somewhat terrible people. Which is rather what makes it funny. They get what they deserve and we get to see how they act when they get that but also get to see some positive sides.

So this ought to be a good watch if it can keep it up..

Deen animation quality aside, the visuals are hilarious. The comedic timing and voice acting are spot on. Probably not show of the season but still enough to expect a good run.

The animation quality may be mediocre, but the show has some funny bits. By the way, Agua would fit perfectly in "Saki" since she appears to go commando.

Megumin best girl imo. Too bad her eye patch is just for "looks" but she's got a funny personality. I almost thought she was voiced by the same VA as Rikka from Chunnibyou lol

The comedy is okay so far, not big on it but Megumin's presence in this episode has my attention.

Meh, I knew this would be gag-ish. The comedy is okay, but if it stays like this, then I don't have to keep up with it. I haven't watched a good Fantasy series since Rokka, so I will try to find a dedicated Fantasy series with magic and adventure.

Recommendations anyone? Please don't say Magi; already seen it.

Try Grimgar over on Funimation, that one is a bit slow but shaping up nicely

Episode 2

Now that Kazuma and Aqua have enough money to finally go on quests, they are having a tough time against some giant toads seeing that Aqua ends up being swallowed by them. They are desperate for recruits, and they run into Megumin the chuunibyou mage, and she makes an explosive impact. But sadly, that's the only thing she can do, and she ended up being pretty useless on the quest. The quest is completed anyhow, and now a knight is about to join the team. That was very funny, especially with Aqua always ending up getting eaten by a toad. Next time, Darkness gets the focus.

This is what happens when facing toads without the slightest clue about how to attack them:

Man, what a train-wreck of a party. Still, I enjoyed it. The new member looks to continue the trend .

Kazuma's got his hands full.

Gotta agree. Megumin's great but... best girl? No. Best girl is definitely:

I've read the chapters that are available of the manga which mostly is made up of volume one of the LN and based on that this is indeed a series mostly focused on the comedy. So yeah comedy's prolly gonna stay on till the end and not really gonna be serious
