Mistakes with food
Posted 1/13/16 , edited 1/13/16
So... I was making a hotdog with a salad pretty damn weird already.

This was like a 5 day old hotdog so I figured it was edible....

I began pouring my salad dressing.

Before I realized it was my hotdog that was then drowned in french dressing.

Welp your turn to tell me about your mistakes with food.

The worst times I've messed up involve me being inattentive and allowing food to overcook or burn. It's very rare for me to do this nowadays since I've learned to pay close attention whenever I'm making food, but it will still happen once in a blue moon, especially if I've been drinking and I'm trying to multitask and chatter with friends.

Another time, I accidentally added salt instead of sugar. Only happened once, though. My grandma put salt in the jar that usually contained sugar. Did the same thing with MSG. Added Ajinomoto instead of salt. The final dishes were really bad. I composted everything. Now I taste the seasoning before adding since I know I can't trust any jar to always contain the same seasoning.

I once drank red wine while eating fish. I was sick for the rest of the evening.

I once prepared a grilled cheese sammich, and immediately slipped and dropped it on the floor.

I cried for half an hour.

I'm sure most can relate. The pain of losing a fresh sammich is real.

Did this recently while taking cordon bleu out of the oven, luckily it landed on the oven door. Probably would have lost my sh*t if it hit the floor. ><

You know those instant noodles with the aluminium lid/seal/whatever?

-You're actually supposed to remove it before sticking it in the microwave, otherwise it'll start a fire.

This is more of a fail than a mistake.

So at the supermarket I was getting fish my grandma to cook for a meal.
She said she needed more copped fish in a can this time.
So I got the can that said "Large Fish Slice" on the can.
When I opened it for her at home I met the eyes of a full silver fish just shoved into the can.
Lol, I still have nightmares about it.

I blended a whole jalapeño into a strawberry smoothy. It was good until the heat rolled in and lingered.
