You can microwave them with that lid on. You just need to be careful when first opening the lid. If you tear the lid itself rather than just the adhesive, it will crackle and spark when microwaved. Did it in college with the nong shim noodle bowls. I think there is some kind of lining on the lid. Once you tear it, then the lining breaks and you get sparks.

i cooked my noodles to mush. tried to fix it with butter

I can't cook anything that's not soup or pasta. Like at all.

Once I tried to make a grilled cheese sandwich and ended up burning one side and undercooking the other side.

Temperature control and adequate oil. Don't be afraid to check the color of the bread. It usually cooks pretty quickly, even with low or medium heat.

There's no hope once that happens. Except cook soup instead of what you were originally planning.

once made a mexican drink with salt instead of sugar. funny thing, my brothers always complaned about their food, so so when they said it tasted funny mom told them to shove it and drink up. lol. good times.

Reheating boiled eggs in the microwave.

Not a good move.

But yes, I've made quite a few rather disastrous mistakes over the years. I keeps pancake mix as a backup, just in case.

I tried to make donut holes in middle school. I gave up after producing an explosion.

Made spaghetti once, also in middle school. Somehow, tomato sauce ended up on the ceiling. I don't remember what the problem was.

I've also turned rice green on accident; it was probably from adding crushed celery or something. Tasted fine though. I've also turned rice purple two different ways - one from octopus (good result) and one from black beans (meh result). Basically I've made rice every color of RWBY.
