Group B and establish a hierarchy. Take the most intimidating, fearsome, and powerful by my side to keep the other ones in line. We will live a life of luxury while the others work... failure to comply will result in there execution and if death doesn't scare them then I will find what they care about most and destroy that first and then execute them. This system may get me killed either by betrayal or a revolt but the system won't change regardless. Why, because this population consists of nothing but lazy people and the person who takes me out is no doubt looking for an easy life as well so he will just take my place and continue the cycle. Eventually this cycle will create a thriving community and will be no longer needed by that time the population will have grown immensely and there will be productive people among them so life will go on like it normally would today.

A long process but it would be one I find the most dramatic and entertaining.

Group A is the better choice as originally presented, but after the example, B may be the only option. Group A is never making it out of our atmosphere.

Ms. Earhart is the sole pilot you chose, Newton knows what's going to happen to that plane at some point, one Einstein can not procreate, and Darwin realizes that.

I was talking with a friend last night about a mind game, something simple, yet compelling.

Say you had a choice, the choice is as follows:

There are two groups.
Group A is small, but they are bright, wanting to better themselves and progress to the future.
Group B is large, but they only drag down the others. They have no wish to better themselves, get an education,
better the world in any way, or truly benefit society.

An example of this would be... 1 Einstein/Earhart/Darwin/Newton or 1000 criminals and other undesirables.

You have the choice to save only one group. You can save the minority, or you can save the mass. What would you do?

I think all human lives are equal... yet I would choose the life of the productive citizen over all. They would help progress human kind. The resource effectiveness would be best with them.

Why did you choose the way you did?

Australia was a prison colony made up of those undesirables. You never know what a person may do in the future or what their children may do. You are making this decision based on you knowing the whole situation past and present which is unrealistic.

I'd be in group B. I wouldn't care about killing myself though.

I'm not sad. I just do not value my life very highly.

You should. You're an intelligent individual.

Even if I were, it means little on its own. Either way, I do not post on these forums for therapy.
