Yup. I would have loved it if it were done by studio Trigger.

The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga is better at going in-depth with the characters' relationships (Jonathan's friendship with Danny, Jonathan's courtship of Erina Pendleton, Speedwagon's role as Joseph's adoptive uncle). The anime is very good, but sort of speeds through these things to get to the parts where people are fighting each other. The anime and video games, on the other hand, are much better artistically, because they don't have the weird anatomical issues Araki's early art had.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka
Jitsu wa Watashi wa
Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan
Rosario + Vampire
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

All jump to the top of my mind.

Jitsu was not better than the anime IMO.

If anything the only reason why the Manga was superior was because they were allowed to play out the entire story. The anime had everyone against it prior to release expecting it to be a Ghost Stories (Sub) level failure.

They were proven wrong, its a pretty great anime but they cut up the anime, and the event plotline because they expected themselves to get the axe at any point. They didn't. However they got the axe in the blu-ray sales because as always Japan has trash tastes in Harem/Romcoms

While I enjoyed the anime, and even rewatched it this weekend, I thought the manga did a better job of conveying the story.

Also, the last two episodes -- they completely detoured away from the original story.

They had too. With the views they were getting they knew their Season 2 chances were kinda slim. So they had to leave the ending in the open

yeah there's not really more to say than that

the only anime i've seen better than the manga are the ones where the manga was adapted from the anime

While I would agree that most manga are better, for all the reasons previously mentioned, sometimes it's nice to see things animated. Particularly fight scenes, if they are done well, when animated I think they can be a lot easier to understand. Full Metal Panic is a good example of that, and fortunately it looks like there will finally be another season to finish off the story. Another good example is Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, the manga is beautiful to look at but sometimes impossible to follow.

The music and voice acting can really add something special too, like that awesome seen in episode 10 of Akatsuki no Yona with Hak doing his evil laugh. Fun to read, delightful to watch.

However, there are some cases where egregious changes were made from the manga to the anime that render it truly inferior. For me the top example of that is Samurai Deeper Kyo; it's not just unfinished and given an inconclusive anime-only ending, they butchered the beauty of the fight scenes by lazily turning all the antagonists into monsters. For me SDK is the clearest example of a manga that stands head and shoulders above the anime.

I will always prefer the original to the adaptation (prefer manga original over anime adaptation / prefer anime original over manga adaptation). There are some anime that I think did ok (like Naruto and Bleach if you take out the fillers) so I've decided just to list the anime series that I believe didn't follow the manga correctly.

Tokyo Ghoul
Fruits Basket
Elfen Lied
Donten ni Warau
Deadman Wonderland
D.Gray-man (I'm looking forward to the 2016 remake!!)
Ao no Exorcist
Pandora Hearts

Happy Happy Clover: While the anime was made in 2007 (While the manga was still ongoing) it mainly adapted the first 3 volumes. However the last two volumes start getting better and the final volume starts becoming more serious with a bit of drama mixed into it.
