The Flintstones is, and STILL is, probably the second most brilliantly-written sitcom of the entire 60's. (At least, the first three seasons, before baby Pebbles came on, and the marketing-kissups took over.)
And that's live or cartoon, second only to the Dick Van Dyke Show, and just ahead of The Addams Family.

Like the Simpsons, a mix of snarky social satire taken to sarcastically silly extremes, only without the angry bile, and more like the surreal wiseguy silliness of Jack Benny's old radio show:

TV Announcer: "Tonight's story of a husband who runs away after his twelfth child is born, is called 'Have Enough--Will Travel'. But first, a word from our sponsor:"
Sponsor: "Ladies and gentlemen, (sad violin music) this program is costing me a fortune, so please...buy my product! "

Admit it: You still remember https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DINuAWoxy4Q
(Which was also unapologetically taken from an old Jack Benny routine.)

Listen to Jack Mercer in the original 30's Fleischer toons, and you'll know why they cast Robin Williams in the 80's movie...Genius.

Was gonna say Family Guy, but someone mentioned Simpsons. I haven't had the chance to watch much of the Simpsons though; I have seen the movie and a couple of random episodes, and they were amazing xD, so I'm not sure which I'd rather pick. xD
