I'm very Interested in your top 5 favorite anime of all time!

:D

I'll post mine

1. Code Geass
2. Death Note
3. No Game no Life
4. One outs
5. Overlord

I like anime where the main character views his enemies and problems like a chess board, very logical and intelligent.
I know some of my picks are very main stream but i can't help it, i really enjoyed them.

You would like Durarara, the main villain Izaya basically treats people like pawns on a chess board, he's got a twisted mind, but he's awesome. An intelligent smart ass .

As for my favorites.

1. Spice and Wolf
2. Fate Zero
3. Akame Ga Kill!
4. Maoyu
5. Samurai girls/Bride

I mean I have more than 5 favorites, but these ones really mean a lot to me in terms of favorite anime. I like anime that is very old fashioned, the architectural design, the atmosphere, taking you back in time. Although I do like a modern setting, or futuristic, anime's that have old designs that are based hundreds of years ago, like castles, Chivalry, temples, way of life and setting are the best!

Even when you mix in a little bit of magic and powers within these types of settings, it's the cherry on top, especially when you start getting into weapons! There's just something about the character design that really sticks with me in terms of favorites. Emiya Kiritsugu, Holo, Jubei Yagyu, Akame, Rider from Fate Zero, Leone from Akame Ga Kill, man I can go on and on.

Code geass is AMAZING xD Glad I've met someone else who also places this as their number one.

Btw, Death Note and No Game No Life are the only ones you have that I'd consider mainstream. xD

My top 5 would be
1. Code Geass
2. Full Metal Alchemist
3. Madoka Magica
4. Love Live! School Idol Project
5. Clannad; Clannad: After Story

I don't really have a 'taste' when it comes to anime. I've enjoyed almost everything that I've watched. I guess it would be best to describe it as a preference of Comedy/Romance/RomCom.

As you can see, from my list, only one of them is a comedy/somewhat romantic. But, I can assure you that I've watched more romance than mecha, action, and adventure combined. And even more comedies than romances, so. xD

I'll give this anime a go and see, thanks so much for the suggestion!

also, i really enjoyed Akame Ga Kill a lot as well, i liked how they were not afraid to actually kill people off, that had such a nice impact upon me, it's not something you see in a lot of anime!! so cool!

I've never really got into to much comedy or romance; although, recently i've really like "my love story!!"

It's amazing! have you seen it yet? It's on this website if you haven't you'd love it!

Yes. xD It's pretty great.

Also, I second that you'd probably like Durarara!; It's actually pretty high on my list as well.

1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Steins Gate
3. Samurai 7
4. One Outs
5. Major/ Haikyuu (hasn't finished so not sure if it will beat out Major)

It's hard to pick 5.

Honorable mentions: Death note, Anohana the flower we saw that day, 5 cenitmeters per second, Shin Chan (with redone english subs that are funnier), Gankutsuou, Princess Mononoke, Summer Wars, Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal OAV, East of Eden, Bento, Baccano.

I feel like Code Geass is pretty mainstream, it's a very popular anime. It was good, I never got around to the second season though.

This is hard to do... this sort of thing changes for me, but here goes:
1. Gate
2. Grave of the Fireflies (most things can't make me feel for the characters, this one almost gave me a Grinch style "heart grows a size" moment. Almost is enough to get on this list)
3. Spirited Away
4. Overlord
5. Gurren Lagann

Every time I go to update my list in my profile I lose interest before I update it.

1. Rokka-Braves of the Six Flowesr
2. Akame Ga Kill
3. Steins Gate
4. You're lie in April
5. Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation

Although saying that like 'LordDust' mine will probably change next week as I also liked 'Strike the Blood, GATE, SAO, Attack On Titan, Planetes, Elfen Lied Etc Etc

Constantly changing my mind, I just tend to like a lot of different anime
