I have one who probably would die to save me, and vice versa me for him.
My religion says that is one of the greatest gifts, and we both believe it.

He wouldn't watch anime for me though, he hates it, he'd probably rather die.

No. Realistically, humans are selfish beings (Most of the time), so it rarely happens. This mostly happens in fiction.

My friends don't have that type of loyalty for me. They would let me die and move on with their lives.

I don't have that luxury/problem.

Many will lie just for the heat of the moment or being put on the spot all of a sudden; add making you feel better to that list too. That being said, I don't have to ask to know, but to answer your question, yes, I did ask them. Some answered yes after hesitating after a few moments and looking away from my direction. Notice how I took time to pay attention to their body language. Others said no since they were of blunt and straightforward nature, which I respected.

I wouldn't call them my friends if they didn't first question my sanity.

I think most people I'm friends with kind of know where I'm at mentally. I think they'd know giving up their life for me would probably just break me completely.

Heck no I don't expect them to die.

They can live for me.

Well, maybe they weren't; no. I have a weird way of looking at friendship that you wouldn't probably agree with
