Jumping spiders are kind of cute, though less so looking at one in the face. Sometimes if I wave the end of a pencil near a jumping spider on a wall it will come over to investigate. Cats also do that if you hide below their line of sight.

I've never seen this kind of segmentation on the head and jaws. Looks very unnatural. And this specimen is already dead. Solifuges don't usually look like that.


I love jumping spiders, though.
