Hi there fellow Crunchyroll users, I am looking to start a blog about video games and anime but I am unsure where to start, so I am looking for some advice to help me.

Firstly, I want to start a blog, to help me improve my writing/reviewing skills and to improve my confidence, do you think this is the best way to do it? I also am looking to start on Wordpress and would like to know if this is a good platform from users with experience with it. Lastly, I would like to get your opinion on how often do you think a blog should be updated. I am unsure whether I should post every time I have something to write about (e.g. New episode of anime I'm watching, new news story, etc.) or I should have scheduled times where I upload posts about specific topics (e.g. New show reviews on Friday, etc.).

Thank you for reading and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How about mix it up a bit? Have a schedule for specific topics and for the rest, spontaneous topics that come up, just post it when you feel the need to do so!

Having a set schedule creates consistency, which leads to trust and returning visitors...

No matter if it's once per week or every two weeks, making sure you stick to a schedule helps a lot. I wouldn't recommend templatemonter. If you want a decently designed WordPress Template, I would suggest themeforest.net. WordPress is a fantastic platform, which caters to SEO, readability and UX.

Hello! I am going to start such a blog too. We could share some tips with each other

It would great if we shared information while we are starting out. For a template, I am looking at some of the ones at themeforest.net, like Lalanna suggested. I also am trying my best to write as much as I can, while I am setting up everything. It'll be great if you linked your blog when you start, I'm interested in seeing how your blog looks. :)

Thanks for the advice! I have checked out themeforest.net like you suggested and have found some templates I might use when I start. I'll also make sure to check out otakujournalist.com when I can.

Sorry for the late response, I didn't see any notifications for the responses.
