Hi guys. This is a selection of my top 3 anime recommendations. I do these every now and again on G+ so I thought I'd share them here too. Please feel free to check them out and comment what else you'd recommend. Any more recommendations I post will be in this forum in the comment section. You'll also find links to MyAnimeList information in the info for each series.

#1 Gosick: http://myanimelist.net/anime/8425/Gosick
Gosick follows the two main characters; the "Black Reaper" Kazuya Kujou, and the extremely intelligent "Gray Wolf" Victorique de Blois. It starts off when Kazuya Kajou is sent to Sauville (a small country near the Alps) from Japan. There he meets Victorique who spends hours a day in the grand library tower surrounded by a multitude of books. Not long after that the series delves into murder mysteries and strange happenings. Victorique is tasked with trying to solve these cases, and Kazuya does what he can to assist in her investigations and protect her at all costs. At first their interactions are rocky, but soon they develop to have respect for each other, showing a lot of character growth.
My thoughts: It's #1 in this list because of the strong storyline, character depth, and interesting mysteries, that compel you to think more about every inch of the show. A series that engages you is always a good one in my mind.

#2 Natsume Yuujinchou: http://myanimelist.net/anime/4081/Natsume_Yuujinchou
This series follows the young man Takashi Natsume, a boy who after losing his parents is moved from relative to relative, but never getting close to him because he was "different". Natsume grew up able to see youkai, spirits who are otherwise not seen by people. This brought supernatural attention on him, causing him to act out in ways people around him perceived as unusual. After becoming older he is brought to the house of a couple named as being friends of a distant family member. It is at that time that he finds an old box full of his late grandmother's belongings, inside he happens across a notebook called the "Book of Friends". However, upon finding this book he learns that the names inside of it belong to hundreds of youkai who Reiko once battled and took the names of. It is then that he is besieged by youkai of varying natures; some just want the freedom of having their names returned, others wish to use the book for their own sinister purposes.
My thoughts: It is a slow series with many seasons, but it has a lot of heart warming moments and hints of mystery. I always wish there were more. This series is one to see.

#3 Dantalian no Shoka: http://myanimelist.net/anime/8915/Dantalian_no_Shoka
Coming 3rd is another mystery series. Dantalian no Shoka is a series about a young man named Hugh Anthony Disward who, upon hearing of the sudden death of his grandfather, returns home after a war to find he has inherited his grandfather's belongings. Upon entering a large estate he soon meets the near doll-like Dalian, who spends her time reading countless books. After an awkward meeting they soon get used to each other and often get tasked with solving various mysteries surrounding some magical books. It is then that Hugh learns of Dalian's true identity.
My thoughts:This series was short yet enjoyable. It delves into very dark and sometimes disturbing themes yet still manages to be interesting as well. I found that there were some things about the series I wish were explained more, as well as there being more to the story, but for what it is, it is a great show to see.

More top 3 recommendations to add. I will number these ones in sequence to the original post.

#4 Utawarerumono: http://myanimelist.net/anime/856/Utawarerumono
Many recognize the name from this seasons' Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen, but sadly there are a few who didn't know that it's a sequel to this awesome series. Set some years prior to the second series Utawarerumono tells the story of Hakuoro who wakes with no memories of who he is or where. He is taken care of by Eruruu and her young sister Aruruu as he adjusts to his new life. He quickly finds himself surrounded by friends and allies against people set on making war with surrounding countries, and through all this he must do what he can to ensure those he now cares about are safe. During this journey he starts realizing some things about himself that no one---not even himself---ever expected.
My thoughts: This series had me hooked from the first couple of episodes. This series has everything in it from action, romance, political, to comedy. It doesn't take long to pick up the pace and get into the story. As someone who has seen this, and then the second season, I am excited to see what they will do with the story now, and hope they will stay faithful.

#5 Tears to Tiara: http://myanimelist.net/anime/3594/Tears_to_Tiara
This series takes place in a sort of Arthurian legend kinda world with a twist. It follows Arthur and his sister Riannon in their peaceful life in their village. That is until an enemy shows up, hoping to take Riannon as a sacrifice to summon the Demon King Arawn. Upon learning of his sisters kidnapping Arthur leads a group of kinsmen in trying to rescue her, but finds himself too late when Arawn is resurrected. However, they soon find Arawn is not the villain he is made out to be when he saves Riannon. This sparks the first steps to try and find a new peaceful life out of the path of the Holy Empire. However, their opposition will never make this easy for them, making them choose between fighting, or submission. This journey leads to some discoveries of who Arawn really is that may test the bonds and bring up some terrible secrets.
My thoughts: A show I would recommend over and over again. Some say it either too long or too short for it's story, but I like it the way it is. It's a series that keeps you guessing about what's really going on.

#6 Hitsugi no Chaika: http://myanimelist.net/anime/20853/Hitsugi_no_Chaika
This series is set in a post-war world, following Tooru Acura and his adopted sister Akari who were magic wielding Saboteurs during the war, but are now ex-soldiers, forced to do an odd job here and there just to eat. During one of these days Tooru happens across a young girl named Chaika, who carries an enormous coffin on her back. Upon their meeting they are attacked by a creature, causing the two to team up in trying to fight it off. After this encounter the two meet up with Tooru's sister where Chaika reveals that she is on a mission to recover her late father's remains and take them back with her using the coffin, and that that is all she can remember of her life; she has no memory before being given that task. Tooru and Akari soon agree to work for Chaika and set off on their journey. Unknowingly however, they are pursued by the government who seek to bring back Chaika for mysterious reasons. This soon brings to question of who Chaika is really, and why the government track her down so aggressively.
My thoughts: I couldn't stop watching this show from the moment I started. It runs for only 2 seasons, which when you see it you'll soon realize that it's not enough for the amount of possible story they could do. But I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure series with a big bit a mystery.

And so concludes my batch of anime recommendations for a while. I will post more as they come, in the meantime, please feel free to add some if you like.

#7 Jormungand: http://myanimelist.net/anime/12413/Jormungand
A lot of you may be familiar with this epic, yet gritty, series. From the same people who did Black Lagoon as well. The story follows a young child soldier named "Jonah" as he is brought in to be the guard for what he hates most; arms dealers. He now works for the notorious arms dealer Koko Hekmatyar, alongside her already large contingent of elite guards. She will do whatever she can to ensure that her work is complete on time and without casualties, but due to her work, it is not always that easy. Jonah is thrown into a world where he must protect her at all costs, but also questions his own moral standings as he fights for those he once considered his enemies. What confuses him most, however, is Koko's true end goal; world peace.
My thoughts: I went into this series without (at the time) seeing other series of this nature, but it was so enjoyable and epic that I couldn't stop watching. In the end I had completed both seasons within 2-3 days and began buying the manga. It is a series I highly recommend, though be wary; it's an action-packed and bloody series.

#8 Blast of Tempest: http://myanimelist.net/anime/14075/Zetsuen_no_Tempest
A tale of revenge that takes on more twists than you can readily keep track of at first. The story takes place in a world where fate is determined by two powerful magical trees; the "Tree of Wold's End" and the "Tree of Origin", which pass on magic to certain individuals. However, something is changing in the world, a change that will threaten the entire population of earth. Everything begins with the sudden and brutal death of Mahiro Fuwa's younger sister, Aika. Stricken with grief and rage, he vows to hunt down the one who murdered her, and so, without warning, leaves his hometown in a desperate search to find the culprit. Some time later, upon visiting the grave of Aika, Mahiro's longtime friend, Yoshino Takigawa, is approached and attacked by a mysterious woman who is seeking information on Mahiro's whereabouts. At that time Yoshino is quickly rescued from danger by Mahiro himself, who later reveals he has been in contact, via long-distance tokens, with a powerful sorcerer, Hakaze Kusaribe, who has been trapped on a deserted island with nothing but the clothes on her back and the barrel she was stuffed into. Mahiro says he has agreed to help Hakaze find a way to come back, as long as she uses her magic to find his sisters killer. Yoshino, not seeing another option, follows his friend on his quest for vengeance, and a journey to find out what will soon befall the world.
My thoughts: A great series with a lot of potential. I think they did it well with the first season. There was mystery, plotting, and adventure. The second season may turn a lot of viewers away however, as it takes on a lighter tone compared to the first. But either way, I recommend it to those who like a bit of mystery.

#9 Tytania: http://myanimelist.net/anime/4066/Tytania
Taking on a different type of show now. Tytania takes place in a very distant future. Man has spread out among the galaxy and have colonized what worlds they could. The story takes place around a ship admiral Fan Hyulick, who was in lead of a fleet of rebel ships set on pushing back the oppressive family that runs what seems to be all of space; the Tytania family. In a battle that was meant to be a show of force for the Tytania family, turned into a bitter and devastating loss for them, leading many to see a brighter future in fighting against the Tytanias. In seeing this, Fan's own people, who had had a secret deal with Tytania, labeled him a criminal and ordered him off the world to be forever hunted by the Tytania family. It becomes a story of what one man can do to an entire Empire run by one family, and the people who may be willing to join his cause.
My thoughts: A series filled to the brim with equal action and politics, as well as character development. You soon start to see the bad side of the Tytania family, but also those who may do good if they were allowed to. Fan's troubles with that first betrayal soon lead him to find those with the same ideals as he, and give him real cause to go against the Tytania Empire. An old show, but a good one nonetheless. It was a highlight of its time in my opinion.
(couldn't find a better picture for Tytania I'm afraid)

Thanks. I loved every one of these shows.

And that's okay. When ever you like to. Any recommendation is alright here. I personally like posting series to people who may not have seen them, to spread the word of a good show.

After a lengthy amount of time I've finally got around to watching some series on this list. Robotics;Notes and Macross Frontier were absolutely awesome (still yet to finish Notes though, but nearly there). I always love to see new anime people can recommend.

I'd like to see 11 Eyes next. Sounds quite interesting.
