About the Series
Ichiro Inuyashiki is down on his luck. While only 58 years old, his geriatric looks often have him written off as a pathetic old man by the world around him and he’s constantly ignored and disrespected by his family despite all that he’s done to support them. On top of everything else, his doctor has revealed that he has cancer and it appears that he has little time left in this world. This more of a summary of the first volume.
Inuyashiki
Ichiro Inuyashiki is down on his luck. While only 58 years old, his geriatric looks often have him written off as a pathetic old man by the world around him and he's constantly ignored and disrespected by his family despite all that he's done to support them. On top of everything else, his doctor has revealed that he has cancer and it appears that he has little time left in this world. But just when it seems things couldn't get any worse, a blinding light in the night sky strikes the earth where Ichiro stands. He later wakes up to find himself unscathed, but he soon starts to notice that there's something … different about himself. However, it turns out that these strange, new changes are just what Ichiro needs to take a new lease on life and now it seems like there's nothing to stop him from being a hero worthy of the respect that he never had before … unless, that is, there was someone else out there with these same "changes" …

Sexual Abuse? I don't remember reading that in this manga. Unless it was near the beginning.

Anyway, definitely a great series, wish more people read it.

An act of sexual assault occurs in these mangas. That the definition of the genre or tag here. This must be referring to chapter 19. If you look a chapter 19 one the Yakuza bosses kidnap a woman and tries to rape her.

That what Sexual Abuse means here.
This could also be referring to chapter 27 where not shown but imply that she was drug like the first time too but, this time, she was actually rape.

I thought there is already an Inuyashiki manga thread here started like eight months ago. I know I have posted there.

This the only one besides mine that I been able to find. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-904711/why-you-should-read-inuyashiki

But that no a discussion thread. That why you should read it thread but is not a discussion thread.

Edit I going to ask a mod to verify it. Since I am unable to do so on my end.

I looked around, and did see /forumtopic-900317/new-crunchyroll-manga-title-inuyashiki-by-hiroya-oku, which could be what you were thinking of for that past thread. It's site news, though, so this one is okay as far as I can tell.

That's the one I was thinking of. Got jumbled with The "You should be reading" thread because there was a search note attached to it to post reviews there...no big deal really.

Anyway, been waiting for Inyuashiki to rejoin the manga again. Been a while with only the briefest appearance.

Wow, I had thought that Shishigami went on the police killing rampage because the girl and her grandmother had been killed In the raid.
Surprised that they are very much still alive.

Really wish again that manga would show more of Inuyashiki. Been a while, but wonder if his daughter will get involved with Shishigami.

I feel like I'm the only one reading this now......which is insane because this recent chapter was off the chain! I feel like we're finally getting into the next act with Inuyashiki learning more about his new powers, his family starting to get back into the story, and shishigami going on a rampage.

After countless emo kid we don't give any fucks about doing emo kid shit nobody cares about chapters I just stopped reading. A manga about an old guy getting something of a second chance late into his life was an awesome idea, but the mangaka thought otherwise after a few chapters. Really too bad.

But he's coming back into the picture, and seems like Inuyashiki will have to come back to take him on. To me, it felt like he was trying to explore these two view points, but because of who Inuyashiki is, he needed incentive, strong incentive, to grow farther than miracle hero, so i think this is the turning point.
